Hello All,

Summer is winding down; school is starting, and football is back! I hope you enjoyed some time away with family and friends. New faculty members are starting in almost every division in the next few weeks. Let’s make them feel welcome and embraced as they join our family and community. It is the ‘inclusion” where we often fall short and miss the opportunity for us to learn from one another.

Stay well and safe,

Dee E. Fenner, MD

CE-TIDE Study Update

The CE-TIDE (Cervical Elastography for Timing of Delivery) study, led by Principal Investigator Molly Stout, MD, MS, began enrollment 16 months ago. Since then, at UofM, the study team has enrolled 380 patients and performed over 860 imaging visits. We have completed enrollment and are entering the exciting phase of data analysis.

Our data already suggests that we have fantastic results to share with the obstetric community and successful first-in-human numeric quantification of cervical softness/firmness.  Studies like this are truly a team effort between providers-patients-staff-and the research team. Thank you for ALL that you do to support research every day so that the care of our patients can continue to evolve and what we know 1-2-5 and 10 years from now is different from today.
