Pray for Convention
The 80th General Convention of the Episcopal Church meets July 8-11 in Baltimore. This convention was delayed by last year’s pandemic and has been shortened due to ongoing COVID concerns. The convention meets to consider revisions to the Constitution and Canons, consider changes to the church’s liturgy, set budgets for the denomination, and do other work as may be important for the kingdom of God.

I will be announcing either at church or in our e-news any important developments. For now, I ask you all to pray for our General Convention that God will fill them and us with a spirit of revival:

Almighty and everlasting Father, you have given the Holy Spirit to abide with us for ever: Bless, we pray, with his grace and presence, the bishops and other clergy and the laity who will soon be assembled in your Name, that your Church, being preserved in true faith and godly discipline, may fulfill all the mind of him who loved it and gave himself for it, your Son Jesus Christ our Savior; who lives and reigns with you, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.

All are welcome to watch livestream worship and legislative sessions of the Convention in Baltimore, July 8 – 11. The sessions will be available on the church’s GC80 Media Hub. The sessions of the House of Deputies and House of Bishops, as well as media briefings from the Office of Public Affairs and #GC80 Daily Show videos, will also be available on demand on the Media Hub for those not able to watch the livestream.

Coffee Hour Ministry
10am Coffee Hour is a loved and vital Ministry for St. Francis. We are well known for our warm and inviting welcomes and that cup of coffee and delicious treat helps to say that to visitors and the congregation as a whole.

We are opening this up to all of you to take a turn on Sundays to provide the food (keep your receipts for reimbursement) and brew, set out and clear away the coffee. Don't worry if this is a first time - we will show you what to do and how to do it, and there are always people on hand on the day to help if you're stuck. Ushers set up the tables for you.

It's quick and easy to sign up - just pick a day from the link below. More than one person or household can sign up on the same day, so you don't have to be on your own.
On this one, we are truly in it together!
