The Irish Quilt Wall Hanging Raffle has been postponed. We'll announce a date for the raffle at the September meeting.
Save the date, Sunday, Sept. 12 for the September membership meeting. We hope to return to St. Christopher in Trinity School. It will be wonderful to see everyone!

HONOR FLIGHT THANK YOU LETTERS | TERRY McKENZIE
Chris McKenzie is proud to share the news that her husband Terry (Arthur Terrence McKenzie) is participating in the Honor Flight Network on Thursday, Aug. 19, in honor of his service in the U.S. Air Force.
As part of the flight, the veterans receive cards, letters, notes, photos, etc. that their supporters have provided. Even if you have not had the pleasure of meeting Terry, we invite you to send a card to include in his “mail call.” There is no need for long sentiments (unless you are compelled to send those). Just a short note is deeply appreciated.

CHECK PRESENTATION AT CARDO'S PIZZA & TAVERN
We are grateful to Cardo's Pizza & Tavern and friends of the Lynch family for partnering with them on their 2021 golf outing.

2021 QUILT WALL HANGING RAFFLE
We are raffling off an Irish Quilt Wall Hanging this year. Tickets are $5 each or 5 for $20. Special thanks for the beautiful, hand-made quilt donated and made by Carolyn Collins. The raffle drawing will be held later this year! We haven't sold enough tickets to pull at the September meeting.

We are collecting socks for the homeless of all ages. If you see them on sale, please share with members. Cheryl Costello is coordinating a way for you to purchase online or drop off to her. Watch for updates this summer.

IRISH COMMUNITY BEREAVEMENT MASS & WAKE
All are invited to the Irish Community Bereavement event including Mass and Wake at the Shamrock Club on August 28 to honor and celebrate the lives lost since March 15, 2020.
Families are asked to make collages, pictures or whatever they want to celebrate their loved ones. If you lost a loved one during the past year, please send their name to Mary Strickland at themightymary@gmail.com.
The event will begin with Mass (time to be announced soon) and a candle lighting to honor those we lost.
The Committee will supply the main foods and have asked people to bring a dish to share.

PRAYER LINE
Please keep our members and those on the prayer list in your thoughts and prayers. Please also pray for the family of member Linda Fox whose son passed suddenly and the family of Chase Minister, cousin of the Collins family, who passed unexpectedly. Also, pray for Mary Charles Jenkins, Tim O'Farrell, Quan Bui, Keith Cupp, Jamie Valus Kevin Burke, Dell Koch, Annie Graves, Ryan Graves, Paul Tisdale, Chris Konik and Joan Shanahan.
May love and unity surround all and be healed. We also pray for all those in the military, police, healthcare workers and our government leaders.

MEMBERSHIP DUES
Annual membership dues are $10 for Junior members (under 18 years of age) and $20 for Regular members (ages 18-79).
Honorary members, age 80 and over, although you do not have to pay dues, we ask that you still complete a membership form.
