A Message from the Headmaster
Please welcome...Mr. Neal Abbott: This morning, Mr. Neal Abbott joined Saint Agnes School’s Advancement team as the new Coordinator of Communications and Marketing. Mr. Abbott has been serving the Catholic Church professionally in various ways over the course of the past half-decade, albeit in the Diocese of Winona and Rochester (southern Minnesota). He has worked as a professional photographer, videographer, and consultant with various Catholic entities, including some film-making. In his own words, “I firmly believe that the Lord is inviting me to respond to the promptings in my heart with openness and hope at the possibility that, by serving Saint Agnes School, He might allow my creative work, passion, and desire to further Roman Catholic education to be realized.” We will be sharing his time with the parish, and we are excited to leverage his multi-valent talents in both the church and school! He, his wife, and their baby are looking to move to the area sometime this school year; if you know of anybody who is hoping to sell his/her house to a good, Catholic family, feel free to email him at nabbott@saintagnesschool.org. Welcome to Saint Agnes, Neal Abbott!

Thank you for taking our survey: A special thank you to everybody who took the time to respond to our re-accreditation survey. We have had over 60% of our families take our survey—a pretty good sample size for the survey! If you did not get the chance to respond, feel free to contribute to the survey by clicking below.

Note: the survey is completely anonymous.

A Message from the Admissions Director
Dear Aggie Families!

Can you believe we are here at the start of week 4?!?! My how time flies. Congrats to everyone on a successful start to the new year. Everything seems to be trending so positively here at the school. It’s great to see where the school is going but it’s also helpful to look back and see how we got to this point. The admissions office had another successful year. We are often asked how many folks work in the admissions office and my response is always, “Oh about 450 or so…” It’s been said before, but I think it needs to be repeated early and often, we are all a part of the admissions office. Our biggest tool for advertising is our wonderful families who help spread the good word about the unique and awesome community that Saint Agnes is! Please continue to tell your friends and family, post and repost on social media, and of course above all, pray for the future of Saint Agnes. May those who would benefit from what we have to offer be guided by the Holy Spirit to encounter the Christ-centered institution that is Saint Agnes.

Here are some neat statistics on the growth and demographics of our school:
This year we will not be offering any large scale / all school open houses. Rather we will focus on individual family visits and shadow days. If you know any folks interested in seeing what we are all about send them to the admissions office via email, jolson@saintagnesschool.org, or phone, 651-925-8803.

Here’s to another great year as we start recruiting for 2022-23!! God bless you all!

Mr. Joseph Olson

Please consider selecting a Friday afternoon to bring four bunches of flowers and two bunches of greens to the chapel on the second floor of the school. Sign-up and more details here. Questions can be directed to Nell Alt. Be assured of the Sisters' prayers for you and gratitude for your generosity.

Upper School Practices Virtue
The Dominican Sisters have a wonderful program that brings virtue into the everyday life and language of our students. For a few years, this program has been running strong in the lower school, and we are excited to incorporate it more actively into upper school life. This school year our focus is on the Cardinal virtue of Temperance: with each month highlighting a daughter virtue (falling under the category of Temperance). Temperance, defined as “Enabling one to be moderate in the pleasure and use of created goods,” reminds us to enjoy good things without over-indulging. Click here to learn more about the Dominican Education in Virtue program, and look forward to more updates as our year in virtue progresses!

Free/Reduced Meal Applications
It is extremely important that any family who may qualify for Free/Reduced meals still fill out the application regardless of the fact that meals are free this year for all. Saint Agnes receives a variety of other funding based on our number of qualified Free/Reduced students. These include scholarships, grants, upper school counseling services, Title 1 funding, and more.  The forms may be downloaded here or from the school website. Contact Sandy Veal with any questions. Please help us receive as much outside aid as possible in order to keep our tuition affordable.
Substitute Teachers Needed
We are looking for more substitute teachers to add to our on-call list! Substitute teacher hours are 7:30 AM - 2:45 PM when needed. Please email your resume to Amy McQuillan.
