Sustainability for West Park!
WPKND is partnering with the Western Reserve Land Conservancy to give away TREES to Ward 17 this October!
WHO’S ELIGIBLE: Cleveland Ward 17 residents who own their homes or have explicit permission to plant and maintain a tree. Trees must be planted on private property in front, side, or back yards (trees may not be planted in containers or in the tree lawn)
WHAT: With our partnership with Western Reserve Land Conservancy, we are giving away Bald Cypress, River Birch, and Roughleaf Dogwood trees to neighbors in Ward 17 to help us restore our tree canopy! These three trees do especially well in our neighborhood – the Cypress and Birch are particularly water-loving and can help divert water from our sewer system.
Limited amount of free trees!
WHAT'S NEXT: Once approved you will be notified by Friday, October 1, 2021.
If approved PICKUP: Kamm’s Corners Farmers Market, 16906 Albers Avenue.
WHEN: Sunday, October 3, 10:00 am-1:00 pm.
Reach out to Devon with any questions at 216-252-6559 x1000 or devon@westparkkamms.org.
Composting is HEAPS of fun!

Thanks to a grant from Neighborhood Connections through Green Together West Park, WPKND is able to offer residents of Ward 17 a free composting bin and hands-on demonstration. Availability is limited, so interested residents are encouraged to sign up now. Recipients will be notified by email with instructions for pick-up on October 6th.
