Marching Band Featured in the Seatte Times!
Big thanks to The Seattle Times for covering the return of Ballard High School’s marching band performances under band director Jay Gillespie’s leadership for this week’s Sunday paper. We’re grateful for their coverage of music education and for spotlighting the universal challenges that music teachers and students had (and have) during Covid—and how good it is for everyone to be back. We hope this lifts up and inspires all programs—choirs, orchestras and bands—to keep going and celebrate being able to perform together again!

Fall Concerts Will Be Livestreamed
Due to continued Covid restrictions, the fall concerts will be livestreamed rather than in person. The format will be different than last year: Students will come to school and perform in their concert wear. The concert will be livestreamed and also available to watch later, per usual, online.

If the purchase of a tux shirt, cuff links and studs is a financial issue, please let your director know, as there are some tux shirts available at school.
