Stephanie Klick and Jacey Jetton and Sen. Bryan Hughes will be giving us their expert outlook on the upcoming session. We know it's going to be an ambitious agenda and your active involvement is going to be essential. Arm yourself with insider information and perspective to be a more effective advocate!
Additionally, RNC Regional Director Drew Sexton and RNC Texas State Director Quinton Hitchcock will be joining us to introduce themselves to everyone and share the RNC's far-reaching plans for Texas this election cycle. Biden-Harris Border Crisis Worsens
While Democrats fail to protect the American people, border state Republican governors are stepping up to protect their constituents. Joe Biden and Kamala Harris refuse to stop the border crisis they created – and now, it’s worse than ever.
What you need to know:
- Harris has been border czar for 100 days and there has been little to no progress on securing our border and keeping our country safe.
- For months, Harris treated the crisis at the border like it is a joke.
- Because of the Biden-Harris border crisis and open border policies our communities are less safe.
- Numbers show the border crisis has only gotten worse.
- Border apprehensions have increased every single month that Biden has been president.
- Human traffickers and drug smugglers are taking advantage of the Biden-Harris open border policies.

Intelligence officials have warned individuals with ties to terrorist groups are taking advantage of the “porous border.”
The bottom line:
Every day, the Biden-Harris border crisis gets worse. And every day, the Biden-Harris Administration fails to act. This unprecedented humanitarian and national security crisis is a direct result of the radical left policies Joe Biden and Kamala Harris have implemented – it is far past time for them to reverse course. The American people deserve leaders who prioritize their safety and security.
The Republican-Led Economic Recovery
Across the nation, Republican-led states are outperforming Democrat-led states in job gains and unemployment rates. Americans living in red states are benefiting from a faster, more robust economic recovery, thanks to the commonsense policies of Republican leaders.
What you need to know:
- Despite strong performance from Republican-led states, the national unemployment rate rose in June to 5.9%, and it has barely budged since Biden took office, hovering around 6% – far too high for America’s workers.
- Republicans are spearheading America’s economic recovery – job gains are stronger and unemployment is lower in states led by Republican Governors.

15 of the top 18 states with the lowest unemployment rates are led by Republicans.
- Republican states are recovering lost jobs far faster than Democrat states.
- Biden’s far-left policies are wreaking havoc on small businesses across the country and Democrat lockdown policies are having a lasting impact on our workers.

With nearly 10 million job openings across the country, now is not the time to incentivize staying home on “enhanced” unemployment.

As American workers and businesses are still struggling to recover, and as families are facing rising prices, now is not the time for Biden’s $3 trillion tax hike and $6 trillion government spending spree.
The bottom line:
Through commonsense policies and strong leadership, Republican states are leading America’s recovery from the COVID-19 economic downturn. Democrats should take note – Republican policies are delivering for the American people.
Brnovich v. DNC
The United States Supreme Court ruling in Brnovich v. DNC is a resounding victory for election integrity and the rule of law. Democrats were attempting to make Arizona ballots less secure for political gain. The Supreme Court saw right through their partisan lies.
What you need to know:
- In Brnovich v. DNC, Democrats asked the Supreme Court to transform the plain language of Section 2 of the Voting Rights Act, which forbids election laws that discriminate on the basis of race, into a blank check that would allow for courts to strike down ordinary election laws without limit.
- The Court reaffirmed a state’s strong interest in preventing fraud and promoting voter confidence and that courts should focus on whether a state law provides equal opportunity to vote, rather than focusing on small disparities in impact.
- The impetus behind this request are two common-sense, race-neutral Arizona laws: Arizona’s ban on ballot harvesting prevents bad actors with malicious intent from coercing voters or altering ballots, and its law requiring voters to vote in the correct precinct allows for the efficient administration of Arizona’s elections.
- The RNC worked closely with the Arizona GOP, NRSC, and NRCC to support this historic victory, and we will continue our comprehensive efforts to make it easier to vote and harder to cheat.
The bottom line:
In Arizona and across the nation, states know best how to manage their own elections – yesterday’s Supreme Court ruling recognizes that simple fact. While Democrats are trying to force a federal takeover of elections through H.R. 1 & S. 1, Republicans are fighting to uphold state and local control of elections.
