Ladies, join us for a night of fellowship and service! We will help fill snack sacks, prison ministry bags, and blessing bags. We will also be collecting new Christmas gift bags to donate to the Aledo Children’s AdvoCats Angel Project. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.

HOPE & ENCOURAGEMENT FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Sunday, November 17, 6:30pm, MAC

The holidays are usually a time of celebration and joy. But when you have lost a loved one, thoughts of the upcoming holiday season may leave you feeling anxious or sad. Join us for coffee and dessert, as we share our stories, explore ways to cope during the holidays, and find hope in Christ. This event, hosted by our AUMC Stephen Ministers, is free and open to all. Contact Trudy Smith for more information.

CHRISTMAS POINSETTIAS

During the Advent season, we will fill the Sanctuary with beautiful Christmas poinsettias! If you would like to sponsor a plant, please complete the order form at the Connection Center. Suggested donation is $20 for 6" pot plants or $30 for 10" pot plants. Sponsors may take their plants home following Christmas Eve services.

THIRD GRADE BIBLE RETREAT

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 9, 9-11am

Each fall, we continue the Methodist tradition of presenting all of our 3rd grade students with a Bible of their very own. As their faith family, we are excited to provide this age-appropriate Bible, and our prayer is that this gift will help them grow deeper in their relationship with God. All 3rd graders are encouraged to attend the Bible retreat on Saturday, November 9th from 9-11am in the MAC, and their Bibles will be presented Sunday, November 10th at 10am.

Sign up is necessary so we can have their name in their Bible. Email Teresa Chisum with your 3rd grader's given name.

CHILDREN'S MINISTRY MISSION PROJECT

Don't know what to do with your worn-out t-shirts? We want them - stains, holes, and all! This year at Breakfast with Santa, our children will be using old t-shirts to create toys for shelter dogs. For this project to be successful, we need as many old t-shirts as possible. Please leave donations in the marked bin in the Narthex. Thank you!!
