Generous donation by Gilbert S. Omenn, Ph.D., and wife, Martha A. Darling, leads to first named basic sciences department for U-M Medical School | |
|
The U-M Medical School's Department of Computational Medicine and Bioinformatics (DCMB) will be renamed the Gilbert S. Omenn DCMB following a substantial $25 million gift from Dr. Omenn — a center member — and his wife, Martha Darling.
The plan is to utilize the money to galvanize AI-driven research initiatives in the Department of Internal Medicine and beyond.
