Board of Supervisors Host Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon for Boards & Commissions Volunteers

On Thursday, April 19, the Board of Supervisors held a luncheon in honor of National Volunteer Week to recognize the time and effort of all of the volunteers who serve on the county's various boards and commissions.


Pinal County Boards and Commissions are tasked with various aspects of civic affairs, which play a vital role in bringing transparency, change, and growth to the County. These Pinal County citizen-led groups guide groundbreaking discussion and insight that may provide recommendations to the Pinal County Board of Supervisors.

Next Week is National Crime Victims' Rights Week

This year during National Crime Victims' Rights Week, April 23 - 29, County Attorney Kent Volkmer and the Pinal County Attorney's Office will honor victims of crime and those who work to advocate on their behalf through a variety of community events.

Rainwater Collector Built Along Arizona Trail

at Freeman Trailhead

The Arizona Trail Association recently installed a rainwater collection tank along the Arizona Trail at the Freeman Road trailhead.


The construction of this rainwater collector was made possible through grant funding and will provide water to hikers, bikers, and equestrians to use while enjoying the trail. Click on the video to learn more about the project.

It's the last week to participate in the 'Explore Peralta Regional Park (PRP)' spring photo contest at the newly opened Peralta Regional Park! 🌼🌵


The contest will end on April 30, two winners will be selected to win a hiking adventure pack to include a State 48 t-shirt, hydration backpack, sun hat, and more from Pinal County Open Space and Trails and Explore Pinal County! Winners will be announced at the beginning of May, see details below on how to participate.


🤳 Take a photo or selfie of your hiking, camping, or wildflower scouting adventures at Peralta Regional Park and post it to Facebook or Instagram using the hashtag #ExplorePRP (don't forget to tag or DM us if your account is private).


📅 The challenge runs from Monday, March 20 - Sunday, April 30.


🏆 Two winners will be selected for a prize with swag from Explore Pinal County and Pinal County Open Space and Trails at the conclusion of the challenge.

Workzone Safety Awareness Week - April 17 - 21

Workzone safety week is an annual campaign to remind drivers to use extra caution when driving through work zones. As part of National Work Zone Awareness Week 2023, we would like to remind Pinal County drivers to be aware of work zones and our Public Works Maintenance crews. From 2020 to 2021, work zone fatalities increased by 10.8 percent, while roadway fatalities increased by 10.3 percent. Please slow down, put your phone down, follow signage, and always be on the lookout for road workers, it will keep them and you safe.

Sun Corridor MPO - Regional Transportation Plan

 2050 Update

The Sun Corridor Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) provides transportation planning services to the communities of Casa Grande, Coolidge, Eloy and rural portions of Pinal County. Sun Corridor MPO is currently working on the RTP 2050 update to identify transportation system improvement priorities that support future growth in the region.
