Quarterly News

Update

Hello Trade and Industrial Division!

I hope all of you that attended NPS had a great conference. I was pleased to meet with several good people including our new T/I division fellow Laura Smith. I really am looking forward to working with her this year. I also wanted to let you all know that starting April 1st you can register to run for the T/I division V.P. position. This will be a three-year term starting next June.

I also wanted to make sure everyone knew about what the great people at Harbor Freight Tools for Schools are doing. This year, Harbor Freight Tools for Schools will award $1.25 million dollars to 20 outstanding skilled trades teachers and programs in U.S. public high schools. There will be 5 Grand Prize Winners ($100,000 each) and 15 Prize Winners ($50,000 each). This is an awesome opportunity for teachers and their programs to gain national recognition. Applications are open to public high school skilled trades teachers now through May 20, 2022. Finalists will be announced on June 27, 2022, and winners will be announced in October 2022. I have participated in this in the past and wanted to let you know how great of an opportunity it is for you all. For more information and to apply, visit this link:
