New Dates for GeoAsia 7

The 7th Asian Regional Conference on Geosynthetics and the 2022 IGS ACC Young Engineers Conference have a new date. The GeoAsia7 conference has been postponed until October 31 – November 4, 2022 in Taipei, Taiwan. READ MORE
The IGS Technical Committee on Hydraulics is organizing a workshop on “Geosynthetics for drainage and filtration in barrier systems” at the 18th International Symposium on Waste Management and Sustainable Landfilling in Sardinia, Italy. The conference will be a hybrid event, taking place online and in-person during the week of 11 October 2021.

New ‘IGS Nordics’ Chapter

Beware of Fake Emails and Phishing Scams

Don’t be caught out by fake emails claiming to be from IGS! You may have received an email claiming to be from IGS, asking you to disclose personal details, seeking your help for other members on some personal matter. Such emails are a fraud, commonly known as “phishing”.

Seeks Funding Requests

Do you have an idea for an initiative that promotes or advances the understanding of geosynthetics for the benefit of all? The IGS Foundation (IGSF) would love to support your efforts if so. The IGSF acts as a global champion of geosynthetics education, and is now appealing for chapters, groups or individuals to apply for grant funding. READ MORE
My Impression of Eurasian National University (ENU)

IGS Kazakhstan has been an active chapter of the IGS since 2012. Recently, chapter president Askar Zhussupbekov met a visiting professor from China at Eurasian National University.
