Pandemic Response
Wearing a Mask
The evidence for the effectiveness of wearing a well-fitting mask in slowing the spread of COVID, including the more contagious Delta variant, continues to grow. We strongly encourage students to continue wearing a mask even when they are off-campus, whether in town or elsewhere. Masking helps prevent the spread of COVID-19 to unprotected households and community members.

You can find a guide and best practices on wearing masks on the CDC website.

Museum with several large and small works from Queer/Dialog exibition
The current exhibitionQueer/Dialogue, continues through Dec. 12, 2021.

This exhibition presents seven artists whose works enable dialogue at the intersections of identity expression. The artists represent distinct voices across a spectrum of media — drawing, painting, sculpture, textile, and film — and we present them solo and in concert in hope of creating a multidimensional dialogue using the term Queer as a catalyst.

Five Generations of Grinnell Women
Sisters Nancy Welch Barnby '61 and Jill Welch '64 slept and ate Grinnell from the time they knew what a college was. They were part of a third generation of family members to attend Grinnell.

With the arrival of Lucy Hartley ’25, Jill’s granddaughter, on campus this fall, there are now five generations of Grinnellians.
