Are you creative? Are you involved in cultural preservation or community activism? Are you looking to engage students during Red Ribbon Week (October 23-31) or for National Native American Heritage Month (November)?

If so, We R Native & the National Institute on Drug Abuse are hosting two challenges that draw upon the strengths and resilience of Indigenous people that protect against substance misuse.

Challenge #1:
Artistic Expressions of Resilience Against Substance Misuse
Youth 14-25 years old are invited to submit any original form of art and describe how it depicts resilience against substance misuse.

Prizes: $500 individual submission, $1,000 group submission (approx. 25 prizes). Submit an entry.

Challenge #2:
Youth-led Community Projects
Youth are invited to 1) plan a project that would promote resilience against drug misuse, and 2) create a video that describes the project.
Examples include: Hosting a dance workshop, Hosting a Red Ribbon Week Activity, Revitalizing a youth rec center, or Hosting a peer tutoring club.

Prizes: $2,000-$10,000 per entry, total awards: $85,000
