Use Your Guest Cards and Invite Your Friends to an Evening of Golf they won’t forget!

All members received 2 Guest Cards and 2 Info Cards in their swag bags so you can invite your friends to join you at league night. Please keep them in your golf bag so you can hand out the info cards to someone you meet on the golf course and invite your friends to league by using the Guest Cards.

All you have to do is:
1.     Confirm with your Captain that there will be room for a guest
2.     Ask your friend complete the Guest Card and give to Captain
3.     Captains send a photo or guest information to Julia Noschang, Director of Recruiting @ membership.lpgaamateurs.columbus@gmail.com

There, it’s as easy as 1, 2, 3, 4 and we could have a new member.

Handicap Corner
The 2021 Handicap Audit was completed on Saturday June 19th. The audit focused on women playing in competitive leagues, Columbus District Golf Association Events, LPGA Amateurs Events and other competitive events. The purpose of the audit is to ensure those playing competitively are posting accurate scores in a timely fashion.

By far, the majority of our ladies are doing a great job keeping their handicaps current and accurate. League captains and the Handicap Chair will follow-up with the few who do not appear to be posting regularly to address issues and to help them get their handicaps up to snuff.

Here are the results of our handicap audit by the numbers:
  •  68% (131) of our members have a handicap account
  • 107 of those are provided through our LPGA Amateurs club
  •  88% of those are actively posting scores
  • 24 are managed by private courses or other LPGA Amateurs clubs
  • 65 ladies play in at least 1 competitive league each week
  • 6 ladies in competitive leagues were found to have no scores posted this season – league captains will follow-up

As a reminder: per the USGA Rules of Handicapping it is each member's responsibility to post all scores in a timely, preferably the same day, and accurate fashion.

Questions on Handicap, email handicap.lpgaamateurs.columbus@gmail.com.
