Dear Unity of Lehigh Valley Members & Friends,
It is with a heavy heart that we are notifying you our former minister and a friend to many,
Joy Wyler-Bradburn passed away on Saturday, Nov 5, 2022.
Rev Joy was an inspirational speaker, an outstanding writer, and an advocate for disabled people & those impacted by systemic oppression.
From a recent post on her blog, Radical Wholeness, Rev Joy wrote, “Disabled people heal, we manifest dreams, we love, we create, we live beautiful lives. Be audacious enough to ask the Universe for what you desire and believe it is yours. Do not settle for the lesser dreams others may say you are entitled to.
Be bold, be unreasonable, be daring, be more than others believe you to be, be all you were created to be. Be the audacious expression of Radical Wholeness you are!”
In another blog post titled, You Are the Best, Rev Joy asked “What does the best you look like? Looking within rather than outside ourselves can reveal where our greatest work lies. And it is where our greatest success lies. The divine imprint within you is not based on someone else—it is uniquely you and at the same time, universally divine. Only you have the power to bring into manifestation the best you. Only you know the direction you desire to go; the gifts you desire to share; the change you would like to see.” I encourage you, in honor of Rev Joy’s teachings - whether you are able-bodied, disabled, or anything in between, to always remember your inherent divinity and to always be the best version of yourself.
We love you, Rev Joy, we thank you for your service to ULV, and our prayers are with you, Kari, Victor, your mom, your fur babies, and all those who knew you and were endlessly inspired by you.
Love,
Marisa & the ULV Board of trustees.
