You’ve probably heard the phrase, “This, too, shall pass.” Hopefully, this Divine Idea brought you peace and comfort in a time when you needed it most. But if you’re like most folks (especially if you were going through a tough time), you’ve probably also wondered… really? Is it going to pass… really? When? When is it going to pass? Join Rev. Anne to learn more about where this saying comes from and why it’s appropriate for every circumstance.

SpiritGroups Fall 2021
The Hybrid Version

SpiritGroups are Unity of Arlington's small group ministry. SpiritGroups can help you grow in your faith and spiritual practice. They provide an opportunity for you to engage with others in a deeper way. Members of the group proactively support and care for each other. SpiritGroups also can help you gain practical insights affecting every area of your life.

Please note: the Hybrid Version allows all of our small groups to take the Fall Session online via Zoom. Since you don't have to be a member of Unity of Arlington to be in a SpiritGroup... this means you can join in from anywhere! In-person gatherings will adhere to current COVID safety protocols and guidelines.

Sign up for SpiritGroups is going on now and ends September 12th. After you sign up you will be contacted by your group leader with details. Groups will begin meeting the week of September 12th.

All groups will be using the video curriculum "The Path of Conscious Creation" with Rev. Michael Gott (senior minister at Unity of Houston) using the book Prayers of the Cosmos, translation by Neil Douglas-Klotz, forward by Matthew Fox.

Please see the information below about each group and use the appropriate link to sign up for the group you desire to join. For more information contact Glenda Thompson, at (817) 584-3106 or email her at:

Memorial Observance
7:30 am at Unity
For those of you who are relatively new to Unity of Arlington and may not know, our prayer garden includes ashes from the World Trade Center, collected shortly after the events of September 11, 2001.

This memorial reminder is sealed in a glass brick that is part of the wall of our special garden. On this September 11th Saturday, there will be a memorial gathering in the garden beginning at 7:30am.

A minute of silence and reflection will be held, followed by some readings and an opportunity for everyone to share their thoughts, prayers and insights. If you would like to share a reading, please let Len Ellis know by contacting him at lellis@ti.com.

Reverend Anne Tabor, M.Div., is available by appointment for spiritual counseling sessions at Unity of Arlington in a safe and supportive environment. As an ordained Unity minister, Rev. Anne, offers spiritual counseling to individuals seeking a deeper under-standing of themselves and their divine power within to solve life's challenges. Spiritual counseling can help if there is a need for inspiration, crisis support, or healing in any area of your life. Prayer and meditation are an integral part of Unity's spiritual principles, and an essential practice in realizing the answers we seek. We believe in the transformative power of affirmative prayer. You are a unique expression of God. Spiritual counseling will remind you of that!

Spiritual counseling is offered on a love offering basis. While no specific fee is expected or suggested, we do invite each person to leave a love offering. For more details, please call the church office 817-467-5151.

UNITY'S FIVE BASIC PRINCIPLES

Principle #1:
There is only one Presence and one Power in the Universe and in my life, God the Good.

Principle #2:
Human beings have a spark of divinity within them, the Christ spirit within.
Their essence is of God, and therefore they are also inherently good.

Principle #3:
Human beings create their experiences by the activity of their thinking.
Everything in the manifest realm has its beginning in thought.

Principle #4:
Prayer is creative thinking that heightens the connection with God Mind and therefore brings forth wisdom, healing, prosperity, and everything good.

Principle #5:
Knowing and understanding the laws of life, also called Truth, are not enough.
A person must live the truth he or she knows.
CORE VALUES
Spirit-Led:
Centered in the awareness of God's presence, we turn within for divine guidance in all we do.

Love:
Love is our True Nature. We express the harmonizing power of love to see good everywhere and in everybody. Love binds together the whole human family.

Diversity:
We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. In a spirit of Unity, we embrace each person as an expression of God grounded in truth and love.

Connection:
We live, love, and laugh from our Oneness with God. We honor our inter-connectedness with each other, with all life, and the earth.

Abundance:
God is our Infinite Source of Good. We gratefully demonstrate prosperity in all areas of our lives. We wisely use our wealth of resources to serve our spiritual community and the world.

Service:
We cultivate enlightened leadership by practicing the teachings of Jesus the Christ through sacred service. It is a blessing to serve locally and globally.

Integrity:
We consciously choose to practice living our Core Values and Unity Principles rather than simply professing them. We choose to communicate from the heart with authenticity and deliver on our commitments with reliability.
