HAPPY NOVEMBER, EVERYONE!

November hosts the Thanksgiving Holiday, in which many of us roll up our sleeves to get creative with this traditional American meal.  We are wishing we could make every item in this article! But what we at WCAB love the most about this holiday is that it is about giving thanks. Something that we feel very deeply, as we are in the midst of our Annual Friends of WCAB Campaign. We have just started this annual appeal and already we are grateful for the generosity of this community. Thank you, thank you! Want to be a Friend of WCAB? Donate today!

November is Theater Month at our Waupaca Schools! Go see the High School Production of Camelot, (go here to study the lyrics of the songs so you can sing along in your head) The Middle School does their plays, and the 30th annual Madrigal Dinner takes place...So much young talent! Scroll down for the deets!

Enjoy this newsletter, it is chock-full!!!! As always, we encourage you to browse through: see all the happenings and many opportunities in our community, and if you feel curious, click on the bright blue links to take a deeper dive and get more details!

Thanks to your 2023 Friends of WCAB Campaign, we were once again able to host a phenomenal Bach Festival. Our week was full of Baroque music in various forms: a Chamber orchestra, Oboe solos, Pianists, a Russiian accordian called the Bayan, and of course the final concert of the week, The Goldberg Variations so beautifully played by Pianist Nell Buchman, and Choreographed by Pamela Luedtke and Kaitlin Altmann. We recorded the concert and watching this video is a wonderful way to relive that special concert. Thank you Friends of WCAB!

His love for crowd work and his energetic storytelling brings audiences into his world of being a dad and ex nerd. Ken is currently a regular opener for Nimesh Patel (Lucky Lefty Tour & Fast & Loose Tour) and Nate Jackson (I'll do it myself Tour). Many more comic Credentials, you will enjoy this show!

Hey friends, neighbors, fellow Waupacawanians! Let's admit that this is a tough week, coming up. As we head in to it, it might help to remember that we have so many more things in common that the things that divide us. We all love our families and friends, so we all love. Let's lean on each other, remember that we love, and we are stronger together!

This month, we are full of gratitude. WE live in a vibrant community that has a gigantic all city Halloween party with hundreds of glowing carved pumpkins, a community that comes out and celebrates the coming of the Yuletide season with a community cookie walk, caroling, tree lighting and a Trolley; a community that searches for ways to make sure that we all feel that we belong. Are we perfect? No, but we keep trying. It’s the Waupaca Way. Thank you Waupaca, for supporting the arts and for being such a generous community in so many ways!
