Hello August!

“The last of summer and the first of fall - Together they stand in August Days. The garden is bright with summer bloom, and yet there creeps up that Autumn haze. You can look forward or look backwards to a lovely summer you would recall. But the changing of the season has come - The last of summer and the first of fall”

WE ARE STILL LOOKING FOR AGENCIES AND VOLUNTEERS FOR THE DAY OF CARING ON SEPTEMBER 18, 2024

The Agency Project Registration Form and Volunteer Team Registration is open!

Non-Profit Agencies can schedule projects that our volunteers can help you with (painting, landscaping, cleaning, assembling, small building projects, etc).

Employers can make Sept 18th a VTO Day (Volunteer Time Off) allowing your employees to give back to the community, without having to give up a day's wages.

Employees can sign up for a team and get ready to experience rewarding benefits such as connecting with your co-workers & other community members, learning new skills & seeing firsthand how your efforts can change people's lives for the BETTER

Community Members can get a group (friends, neighbors, family) together and sign up a team to volunteer in your own community.

Last year we had approximately 508 volunteers helping 43 different non-profit agencies and government entities throughout Mifflin and Juniata Counties. Let's beat that # this year!

Let us introduce you to one of our Partner/Agencies

with programs funded by the United Way of

Mifflin-Juniata with YOUR Donations

CRC is a Christian camp and guest services rental facility. The camp is owned by the Brethren in Christ Denomination and overseen by the Allegheny and Susquehanna Conference. In 1978, 238 acres of land was purchased and CRC was founded. Three years later, in 1981, using just a modified barn, the first children and youth camp was held with 13 campers.

Today, CRC holds several weeks of summer programs which includes youth and children summer camps, local missions with TIMS, and multiple family camps. During the rest of the year, CRC is available for your use! CRC welcomes youth groups, family reunions, scrap booking and quilting retreats, adult retreats, college groups, business retreats, day events, and various other retreats!

At CRC, our staff aims to create an atmosphere of peace and hope where people can connect to Jesus and to each other. Come spend time at CRC and be restored and rejuvenated, so you may reenter your community to participate in Christ’s redeeming work of the world!

Check out some of the camper's thoughts on CRC and the thank you notes to the United Way, thanking us for the financial assistance that we provide to Mifflin & Juniata youth, so they can attend these great outdoor summer programs!

"Thank you for supporting CRC! As a camper who came to camp at 8 years old, to now a counselor who has been here for 4 summers, I cannot begin to describe how much this camp has impacted me! By donating to camp you are not only impacting my life, but my campers lives as well! Thank you once again for all of your support!" -CRC Counselor 2024

I love being a camper at CRC because I can make new friends and counselors. When I'm at CRC I love to go on the waterslide and play soccer. - Camper Bella 2024

When I'm at camp, I love to FISH. - Camper 2024

I love being a camper at CRC because of the counselors. When I'm at CRC I love to make friends and they always have something fun to do. - 2024 Camper
