These experiments are really fun to work through with a group and when committed to them, can show you direct evidence of how our consciousness informs reality. These techniques can support healthy relationships, manifesting miracles, abundance, fun and joy. Lots of laughter will be in this series!

The Highlight ISD Oneonta Event of 2022 |
Wow, if you were looking for something unique, exciting, and a whole lot of fun, the ISD Oneonta High Tea Leaf Reading and Social on June 5 at ISD headquarters was just the thing! The tea was held after our normal service, on a beautiful day in early June that begged us to head outside to the Oasis to relax and enjoy each other’s company. This was the first real opportunity for us to gather in person after several months of winter weather and Covid vigilance. We also used the occasion to raise $263 for the Hunger Coalition of Otsego County through our Raffle proceeds- hurrah for ISD Oneonta! Special thanks to the people who donated Raffle Prizes of gift certificates for a private reading session - Connie Lunn, Tapash, Judy Lynn, Diana Friedell, Story Ducey,
Our Tea Mistress, Kimberly Winsor, introduced us to her favorite line of Ajiri teas from Kenya, and guided us as we selected and prepared our favorite cup of tea. 100% of the profits from tea sales supports orphan education in Kenya (www.ajirifoundation.org). And yes, she also provided us with antique tea cups and saucers! It was a very sophisticated social occasion. But wait - a crew of volunteers (Maggie Kilbride, Sali Dellysse, Diana Friedell, Nancy Okker) provided tea sandwiches, cookies, and a wide variety of delicious hors d'oeuvres to enhance our experience.
And if this delicious gathering was somehow not enough, Rev. Renee Ranke then guided us in a mini-workshop in reading tea leaves! Everyone caught the fever and we had a blast reading our own and other’s tea leaves. Tom had never seen that many people gathered in the Oasis, and the energy was simply wonderful. Many thanks to Kimberly, Renee, and the small army of volunteers providing & setting up for the event - it does take a village to generate purpose, joy, and gratitude.

ASTROLOGY FORECAST (June 30-July 6)
I hope you were able to view the Parade of Planets, and the series of Moon conjunctions with those planets in the early dawn sky at least once last week. Rarely do we get to see these alignments so easily.
I bring this up for another reason. This phenomenon was a good way to help you see the energies of Astrology in a tangible way. Pythagoras equated the universal tones that all objects emit - their resonance - with the movement of celestial spheres. He called it the "Music of the Spheres." The changes in tone and energies created from the movement of space objects around each other is the organizational system of Astrology. It is both a dance and a symphony of the Solar Winds all at once.
An Earth based example of this is the doppler effect of approaching and receding objects. We have all heard this at some time. (Helicopters create a very recognizable doppler sound.) Astrology is the logical extension of the tones of passing objects out into space. Specific tones and energies are assigned to regions and corridors of space, hence the signs and planetary characteristics when the celestial bodies move from one region of space into another. The music created by the line of planets being passed by the Moon last week must have created an incredible tonal symphony! Your SOUL will have heard, even if your conscious ears did not.
CELESTIAL PLACEMENTS THIS WEEK:
SUN CONJUNCT LILITH ALL WEEK: This is not a neutral placement. It may affect people in various ways, all of them intense. You will be asked to stand for integrity and equality. I have discussed Lilith's long stay in Cancer. This is an acknowledgment that the Cancer qualities of old are not going to remain unchanged. This brings out the Divine Feminine aspect in all of us, raising respect for the "High Priestess", "The Empress", "Wise Woman", and "Grandmother" energies. This new time helps us embrace the fully realized aspect of mature female sovereignty that has been hidden in the shadows for so long. This conjunction will shine light on the best, wisest ways to balance polarity.
MARS moves from Aries into Taurus and MERCURY moves from Gemini into Cancer, on July 5th. PALLAS-ATHENA moves from Taurus into Gemini on July 4th.
MARS becomes softer as it moves out of its ruling sign of Aries and into Taurus. The youthful intensity of dynamic action will be tempered with patience and steadfast resolve. One caution is to guard against stubbornness.
MERCURY moves from Gemini into Cancer for a short 2 week stay. Your communications and intellect will more easily take on compassion and a rich elegance. You may be able to think with your heart. If you are able to "set" this pattern in your behavior and interactions you will retain the optimal energy after Mercury moves on to Leo. If you choose, this placement can help you bring your Thoracic (Heart) Brain into prominence over your Cranial Brain. (Yes, there are "brain" cells in other places in your body.)
PALLAS-ATHENA moves from Taurus into Gemini on July 4th. Pallas is an asteroid in orbit between Mars and Jupiter. She is associated with wisdom, justice, diplomacy and tact, strategy, courage and creative intelligence. In Gemini, she excels at wisdom with words. Speaking, writing and storytelling are all emphasized.
NEPTUNE is retrograde now in late Pisces. It remains stationary at 25°26' all week. While planetary retrogrades aren't rare, the stationary days are more significant. They provide sustained focus on whatever area is highlighted on those days. In the last decanate (10 day span) of Pisces, particular emphasis is on putting your imagination and vision into intelligent action. It makes sense since you are moving toward action oriented Aries. Neptune is at the end of the Zodiac wheel, preparing to begin a new cycle. Neptune stationary for a week at 25° Pisces invokes the magic of the number 7. This invites you to decide what element of your best vision and imagination to bring to life in the coming days.
ASTROLOGY FORECAST (July 7- 13)
It is useful to discuss the attributes of CANCER in more, and expanded, detail during this year's Solar transit.
Motherhood and sensitivity are familiar attributes. Home and family are highlighted. Cancer is a Cardinal, Water sign. It is movable and fluid.
Cancer's sensitivity has not always been appreciated. Feeling things deeply has, often, not been considered an asset in our world. I suggest an update to tradition.
Cancer is adept at nuances, asking multiple questions, thinking about something from a different perspective. Example: In ISD dream circles we will sometimes glean 3 to 4 different messages or interpretations of the same dream. All are useful. All can be correct at the same time. This adaptability can be considered a Cancer trait.
This willingness to explore, to ask ever more questions is a Cancer trait. Everyone knows of our reverence for the intellect. How much richer might that knowledge become if we can FEEL our way into the subtleties? How else may we look at an issue? What more can be experienced in any situation?
THE BRAIN, FOR ALL ITS BRILLIANCE, CANNOT THINK ABOUT WHAT IT CANNOT FEEL, DREAM, OR IMAGINE.
NOW, you may say, "Wait, isn't imagination a Pisces trait?" Yes it is. The subtlety is that the imagination does not come from the mental body. It is invoked through instinct, and is experienced through the emotional body! Cancer is courageous in its deep dive into the waters of the emotions. Cancer knows that we ascend into our full Soul expression through the emotional body.
As humans we tend to remember, and put emphasis on difficult emotions. How often do you hear the acceptance that, "We learn more from our difficulties, challenges, and mistakes than from the pleasant times." Cancer can help us SIDESTEP that manner of being. Lateral movement off of the long existing path of suffering is entirely possible! Allow Cancer to help you adjust your approach. DECIDE that you will learn from JOY! You will be richer for it in many ways.
CELESTIAL EVENTS THIS WEEK:
July 13th is the Full Moon in Capricorn. Several alignments will be in play on this day making it a potent Full Moon.
*Moon is conjunct Pluto
*Sun in Cancer is conjunct Mercury
*Moon and Sun are both Trine Neptune
*This is a Supermoon. The Moon is at its closest distance to the Earth for this year.
Capricorn is adding structure and discipline to the Lunar energy. Pluto spreads this energy over entire populations at once, perhaps helping us to get unglued from long held positions that may not be all that beneficial. The changes could potentially be drastic.
The Moon's Trines with the Sun and Neptune will help bring initiative, inspiration, and imagination to your activities.
This being a Supermoon will make it a great evening to sit outside and bask in the Moon's glow. Allow the sound of the crickets, night bird's cries, and if you are REALLY lucky, the howls of our coyotes, to sing you into your Godspeed!
