August 5, 2021
Eden Prairie High School Students and Families,

Welcome to the 2021-2022 school year! With over a month remaining in summer, we hope your family continues to take advantage of this time for rejuvenation. We’ve had a great summer here at EPHS filled with preparations for the year ahead as well as some quality time with our families. This letter chronologically outlines various happenings to help you get ready for school to begin.

Student class schedules will go live the week of August 16 on Infinite Campus.
You will receive detailed instructions on how to view your schedule. If you need support to access your Campus account, please contact the family/student help line at 952.975.7094 or helpline@edenpr.org. You can also access our Family Resource Page for support.
Ramp-up Days
We know many of you are excited to get back in the building...and we can’t wait for you to be here! We’ve created two “Ramp-up” days for you to come in, check things out, and take care of a few business items if you need. Here is a summary of these days:

  • Who: All students and families are invited to these optional events
  • When (2 options):
  • Thursday, August 26 from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm
  • Monday, August 30 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm
  • Where: The entire school will be open. Please enter through the Activity Center or North Entrance.
  • What:
  • Walk around to find your classes, locker, and common spaces
  • Get your picture taken in the Activity Center (there will be another picture day during school on September 17)
  • Pick-up your laptop in the Media Center (Note: Most students grades 10-12 already have their laptop from last year. If you don’t, these would be great days to pick up yours.
  • Grade 9 students can do this on Ramp-up Days or on their Connect 9 Orientation Day (September 8).
  • New students can do this on Ramp-up Days or the first day of school.)
  • Students coming from CMS who have not returned their iPads should come with their iPad cleared of content and reset.
  • Pick-up your parking pass. If you purchased one in the spring, now is the time to pick it up. Lots A & B are sold out with Lot C passes remaining. You can also buy parking passes at neighboring lots More details can be found here.
  • Student schedules will be available in Infinite Campus on August 16. Counselors will be sending out a schedule request change form the week of August 16 to student emails. Students can request schedule changes utilizing that form.
  • Your student support team members (counselors, deans, social workers) are excited to see you! They will be available outside of Student Center East to answer questions.
  • Our school store, The Nest, will be open to pick-up new Eagle gear for the new year!
  • Buy your Activities Pass
Connect 9 Orientation Day is Wednesday, September 8 meaning that our first day of school is for 9th graders only! We’re really excited about this change as we greatly value the transition into high school. We want each of our freshmen to be here for this important day. Busing and lunch will be provided, each student will meet Connect 9 Leaders (awesome 11th & 12th graders trained to welcome students to our school), each of their teachers, and tour the building. As the event draws closer, 9th grade families will receive more information. A special welcome to the Class of 2025...you belong here!

First Day of School for students grades 10-12 is Thursday, September 9 (9th graders will also be in school this day making this our first “regular” day of the year).
Family Engagement Events
9th grade Parent Night on Wednesday, September 8
From 7:00 pm to 8:00 pm on the evening of Connect 9 Orientation, 9th grade parents and guardians are invited to a presentation in our Performing Arts Center. This event is designed to provide an overview of what students experienced earlier in the day, strategies for supporting a strong high school start, and to make connections with EPHS leaders. It will also be available virtually both live and recorded.

Save the Date for “Meet your Teachers Night” on Monday, September 20
From 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm we will have an “open house” style event for parents and guardians to meet our teachers. All teachers will be available in their classrooms for families to build connections.

Save the Dates of “EP Connects”
On the first Monday evening of each month, we will host a presentation on a timely topic that can be accessed in-person or virtually. Our first installment will be Monday, October 4 at 7:00 pm.
Lunch Accounts
Free breakfast and lunch will be provided to all students during in-person learning at every school for the entire 2021-2022 school year. Students only need funds in their food service account to make extra purchases. Parents can add funds online using their Parent Portal. Due to a change in payment processor parents will need to re-enter their payment method and recurring payment information. Families who may qualify for free/reduced-price meal benefits should still complete the Application for Educational Benefits, as there are other benefits available. Parent/guardians can access the online application in their Parent Portal. Families may also download an application here and return it to any school or the Welcome Center or mail it to the address on the form. For more detailed information, go to the Child Nutrition page of the district website.
