Welcome to the 22-23 School Year

I am incredibly excited to get the 2022-2023 school year started. Whether you are new to our district or you’ve grown up here, know that we are going to focus on meeting the academic, social, and emotional needs of our Bears. We are also here to support and help our students and families with the transition back to school as our first day on Monday, August 22 is right around the corner. 

If you need anything, please do not hesitate to contact our main office or me with any questions. Note that the main office is open Monday through Friday until 3:30 PM. Additionally, NRMS will be closed to students and guests between 8:00 AM and 3:30 PM on Thursday, August 18 and Friday, August 19 for meetings and professional development. Our NRSD Calendar is ready to go with all of our upcoming events. I hope everyone enjoys the final weeks of summer!

Important Notes:

Where Everyone Belongs (WEB)/5th Grade Parent Meeting

Where Everyone Belongs is a transition program coordinated by our 8th grade student leaders for incoming 5th graders. Please make sure to mark your calendars for WEB, which will take place in the NRMS Gold Gym starting at 8:00 AM on Monday, August 15. Additionally, there will be a meeting for parents/guardians of 5th graders on August 15 at 8:00 AM in the NRMS Purple Gym. Following the parent/guardian meeting, 5th grade Chromebooks can be picked-up, and locks, agendas, and schedules will be distributed. 5th grade families will also have the opportunity to purchase a physical education shirt.  

Electronic Packet Pick-up

All students will be able to access their schedule through PowerSchool on Monday August 15 starting at 1:00 PM. We appreciate your patience with releasing student schedules as this allows us to continually balance classes and teams in the coming weeks as new students enroll. Agendas will be distributed to the students in grades 6 through 8 by our teachers on the first day of school.

New Student Orientation 

Students who are new to the North Royalton City Schools and NRMS are invited to attend an orientation on Wednesday, August 17 at 8:00 AM in the Choir Room, which will be facilitated by our school counselors.

Transportation

Please use this link to access information from our Transportation Department. The North Royalton City Schools 2022-2023 transportation schedules for all students will be available on e-Link beginning Monday, August 15, 2022 after 9:00am.

NRMS Summer Projects

The projects at NRMS are drawing to a close. Along with improvements to our HVAC, we have a beautifully refinished Gold gym floor and some new spirit decals around the building.

PTA
