Institution and Association Chaplain Gathering

An event for Institutional and Association Chaplains will be held March 15th at St. Thomas UCC. Beginning with brunch at 9:30am, this workshop will explore lessons learned from the pandemic for providing pastoral care when conditions do not allow for clergy to be present with congregants. it is also a time to thank institutional chaplains for their efforts during the pandemic. This session will conclude with a brief worship and communion. We will conclude by noon. For more information contact Rev. Rick Luciotti. RSVP to Paul Keller.

Small Church Vitality Workshop

Rev. Dr. Marisa Laviola is planning Small Church Vitality Workshops that will be offered on 4 Saturdays across the conference. These workshops are for any church that self-identifies as “small.” The focus of the workshops is to celebrate the small church as a sacred part of the future of God’s church, including validating lay leadership to supplement parttime pastorate and identifying the mission of each church as beacons of light to their greater community. Each church is asked to bring pastor plus at least two laity and be prepared to share joys and trials with other churches present. These workshops will take place March 12th for the York and Harrisburg Associations, April 30th for Lancaster and Lebanon, May 14th for Central and Northern, and May 21st for Gettysburg and Mercersburg. Contact Marisa for more information.
