David is on vacation from August 15th through August 28th. While he is away, guest preachers have agreed to fill in:

  • Sunday, August 28 - Rollin Conway

In case of a pastoral emergency, please contact Barbara Davis on her home phone at (440)774-1660 or on her cell phone at (440)732-8610, or call the office at (440)775-1711. Pastoral care instructions are also available in the Pastor's voicemail message if you contact the office after hours.
Please Sign-up to Host Coffee Hour

The Fellowship Committee would like to try a new approach to our Coffee Hour after church on Sundays. We invite all of you to sign up to host on a Sunday of your choice. Families or couples can sign up, or sign up with a friend. Now that we are once again able to gather, we know that those in the First Church family are eager to socialize. The recent coffee hours hosted by the Fellowship Committee and the Slocums have been well attended and much appreciated. All that is required is coffee (provided by the church) and a beverage for children (usually lemonade). Anything in addition to that (such as hot tea, iced tea, cookies, coffee cake) is completely up to the host. Remember, the food and drink is just an excuse to see one another! Please call Sarah Colson with any questions at (440) 774-2538. The sign up chart will be in the gallery.
Our Deepest Sympathy: Linda Ditzler

For those of you who may know and have worked with our beloved friends and colleagues (as well as Sandy Matthews' parents) Jim Ditzler - a founder of the Heartland Conference Disaster Network - and Linda Ditzler, we have learned the sad news that Linda passed away on Aug. 2, 2022.

It's Moving Day!

The Christian Ed./Faith Formation Committee needs your help! We are converting the Rocket Room into a youth space, so the children of the church have a place for their games and activities while we continue our commitment to OCSI and the guest family in the Undercroft. On Saturday, August 27th, at 10 am, we're having a moving party! We'll move the games and activities into the Rocket Room, and move some furniture and materials that are in the room out. Jen will bring the donuts, juice and coffee! All are invited to help with the move - many hands make light work, and there will be jobs for different ability levels and ages. Thanks in advance for your commitment to our youth!
