Absentee-Shawnee Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma awarded $13,793,400 in Bridge Investment Program for the Porter Avenue Bridge Replacement Project
Congratulations to the Absentee-Shawnee Tribe for being awarded $13,793,400 in Bridge Investment Program funding, provided by President Biden’s Bipartisan Infrastructure Law.
The Absentee Shawnee Tribe Porter Avenue Bridge Replacement Project will replace the Porter Avenue Bridge, a structurally at-risk bridge that carries Porter Avenue over Little River in Norman, Oklahoma. The 87-year-old bridge cannot meet the load and traffic requirements of the regional transportation network and is prone to flooding. If not replaced, it threatens the mobility of people and goods through the region and will impact future economic growth. The project will improve the quality of life for local and regional bridge users, primarily impacting the Absentee Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma.
Cross Timbers Consulting is honored to have assisted the Absentee Shawnee Tribe with the preparation of this Bridge Investment Program application.

NHTSA encourages drivers to check for open vehicle safety recalls at least twice a year – when Daylight Savings begins and ends. A quick recall check using NHTSA’s FREE VIN lookup tool or the SaferCar App can help prevent crashes, keep our roads safer and, ultimately, save lives.
Thanksgiving is around the corner and so is the time for family, friends and gathering. Every Thanksgiving, Americans hit the road to gather with friends and family and celebrate what they are thankful for. While driving without a seat belt is a significant danger on the road year-round, the Thanksgiving period is particularly dangerous due to more people traveling on the roads. Wherever you're headed this Thanksgiving, ensure a secure journey by wearing your seat belt every time you get behind the wheel.
