New 3rd Grade Teacher:

We have hired a new 3rd grade teacher. Mrs. Laura Behrle is an OLMC parent and brings 5 years of teaching experience to our team.

The class lists that were emailed on Monday had Mrs. Powers listed at the substitute teacher. She will be able to fulfill her regular duties as Full Day Kindergarten Aide in Mrs. Schroeder’s room now. A big thank you to Mrs. Powers for being willing to fill in.

Parking Lot and Carpool Info

As many of you may have noticed, the area in the front of school has undergone some major construction. We anticipate the front doors of the school being open soon but please plan to use the back entrance of the Parish Hall (by the Kindergarten Rooms – Doors #5 & #4C) for the next week or two.

Parking for Kindergarten Parent Orientation & New Family Meeting tomorrow night: you can park on the backside of the school (near the playground) and enter through Doors 5 & 4C into the Parish Hall.

Parking for Raider Round up on Monday, Aug 8 (4-6pm): you can park on the backside of the school (near the playground) or by the Chapel area. We will have doors #6 (closest to the playground), #4C & #5 (by the Kindergarten rooms) open for you.

Used Uniform Sale: you may access the gym loft from the inside of the school. Plan to park for Raider Roundup on the backside of the school, enter through the Parish Hall and follow signs to the gym.

For the 1st Day of School: We encourage everyone to use carpool but parents are welcome to park and walk their children in on the first day. Plan to park in the northeast parking lot (corner of Oak Ridge & 146th) and walk with your children to the backside of the school. Please be careful in the parking lot as there will be moving cars in carpool – we will have teachers helping direct traffic.

(More info on Spirit Wear sale soon!) We will have several tablets available at Raider Roundup so you can fill out the form while you visit.

So far 120 people have signed up to volunteer for different PTO events throughout the year! That’s amazing! Let’s keep it up😊

I know everyone’s schedules are a bit unpredictable this far in advance so no pressure to volunteer for everything right this moment but do consider some events this fall. Uniform Sale - Monday 4-6pm:

Used Uniforms will be for sale on Monday from 4-6pm in the loft of the gym during Raider Roundup.

We understand that supply chain issues may be causing some delays in purchases of new school uniforms.

SchoolBelles has informed us that they now have stock of the original vests (Style 1994), sweatshirts, and fleece jackets on shelves at our Indianapolis store.

Light weight vests (styles 8994 & 1964) were recently approved and may now be ordered either online at www.schoolbelles.com School Code s1276 or at the Indianapolis store.

The Used Uniform Committee has limited stock of new logo items which will be available at the Used Uniform Sale during Raider Roundup on Aug 8 from 4-6pm. For anyone that has ordered new logo items that will not arrive until after school starts, old logo items will also be available during this sale for $1 each.

If you are willing to help Anne Casavant with the sale on August 8, please text her at 317-490-8582. Volunteers helping with the sale get early access to uniform items.

PowerSchool Updates:

The Diocesan wide migration to a common Student Information System has experienced a few unexpected delays. The school staff are working hard to get things ready for the new year but we anticipate some delays in things you are used to as school families.

Student & Parent Portals:Student access to grades/schedules and Parent access to grades/attendance will be made available as soon as possible. We expect minimal impact due to relatively few assignments, grades, and absences at the start of the school year. All school families will need to create a new account. We will provide you with instructions on how to do that as soon as it is ready.

Directory Spot: Access to 2022-23 School Family Demographics in the online directory through Directory Spot will also be delayed due to data cleanup that is necessary. We need clean data to import into the directory.

Lunch Accounts:

Get ready – the first hot lunch option begins with Mexican Monday on August 15!

If you already have a Campus Cuisine account from last year make sure to:

  • Update your child’s grade & homeroom (class lists will be emailed Monday, Aug 1)
  • Purchase lunches ahead of time – lunches must be PAID for by noon the day before.
  • Order by noon on the day before

If you are new to Campus Cuisine:

  • Click here for directions to create your account
  • Make sure you enter the correct grade/homeroom
  • Order by noon the day before

Helpful tips for everyone:

  • Orders are printed by homeroom so if your child’s grade/homeroom is not updated it makes life very difficult for teachers & helpers to make sure your child gets their food!
  • Order by noon on Sunday for Monday lunch, noon on Tuesday for Wed lunch, etc.  Don’t wait until the night before or the morning of…we will be calling you to bring your child a lunch! Orders must be paid for by noon the day before.
  • You can order ahead up to Christmas break if you want to.We recommend trying a few options first to see what your child likes and what amount is too much/not enough, etc.
  • Make sure to ask them if they ate everything!
  • Some parents choose to order an entrée and supplement with sides from home
  • Make sure your child knows which days you ordered food
  • Still pack a water bottle for them to drink during lunch time
  • Cancellations due to illness must be emailed to info@campuscuisine.net by 8am. You will receive a credit that can be used a different day.
