The University of Arizona at Chandler invites public to explore educational offerings
|
|
The University of Arizona at Chandler (Chandler center), in collaboration with the City of Chandler, will host an Open House event for the community to collect
information about its Chandler center services and variety of higher educational offerings.
This event will be held Wednesday, June 30, from 6-7:30 p.m. in person at the Chandler center, located at 125 E. Commonwealth Ave., or available to those interested in joining live online via Zoom.
Those in attendance will have the opportunity to attend breakout sessions, led by Chandler center Program Directors and faculty for the following academic programs: Applied Computing, Cyber Operations, Intelligence and Information Operations, Human Services, Undergraduate Law, Master of Legal Studies, Professional MBA, School Psychology (Ed.S) and TEACH Arizona. These breakout sessions will provide more information on each program offered at the Chandler center, sample coursework, the learning environment, career outlook, career paths and much more. Fifteen-minute tours of the Downtown Chandler Library, located across the walkway, will also be available.
"The University of Arizona’s commitment to delivering quality higher education options in Chandler plays an important role in building our talented and diverse workforce,” said Mayor Kevin Hartke. “I support this open house event and encourage our community to explore the University of Arizona’s program offerings available in Chandler.”
The Chandler center is part of a connected hub of statewide locations, called the Near You Network, designed to deliver University of Arizona degree programs directly to students no matter where they are in the state. Kimberly Hanes, Regional Manager for all Near You Network centers within Maricopa County explains, “Our academic programs are aligned with locally industry and are demanded by employers. Our Chandler center students are on paths towards high wage, high demand, and high skill occupations.”

CVS Health announces job opportunities in new Chandler office
|
|
CVS Health recently announced a $6 million investment in new tenant improvements, and an additional 50,000 square feet of space at its flagship Aetna One Advocate office in Chandler, Ariz. The site, located at 1255 S. Spectrum Boulevard, in the Allred Park Place development, now has capacity to serve more than 600,000 Aetna members. Hiring is underway to fill an additional 500 service and clinical professional positions within the next 12 to 24 months.
Job opportunities include customer service advocates, nurse case managers, care manager associates, health provider advocates, customer service managers and supervisors, and clinical health services supervisors. Most of these jobs are new to the region.

Morales, A1A Site Director, CVS Health. “Some of our positions are temporarily working from home during the pandemic while our in-office opportunities comply with CDC safety standards for COVID-19. ICYMI: Arizona's first SCHEELS to open Fall 2023 in Chandler

SCHEELS, an employee-owned All Sports retailer, is bringing its first location to Arizona, opening Fall of 2023 in Chandler. The new shopping destination is planned for the Chandler Fashion Center after a full renovation and expansion of a vacant building, and will feature 220,000 square feet of premium retail adventure for the entire family.
The new Arizona SCHEELS will be home to entertainment attractions, specialty shops and boutiques with the best brand names under one roof. This includes 75 specialty shops staffed by trained experts who focus on helping customers achieve their goals. The one-of-a-kind retail experience will attract sports fans, outdoor enthusiasts and customers seeking a wide variety of fashion, footwear and home decor.
The Arizona SCHEELS will feature more than just retail, with a variety of fun, family-friendly attractions.
