A message from our Missions Pastor

Hey Legacy Family,

It’s a new month which means new opportunities for us as a church family to advance the Kingdom of God! Once again, thank you for your generous giving to the general fund which is creating some really cool opportunities for us to minister to our community and the globe.

I have a quick testimony. A few months ago we received a call from Hearts4Mexico who stated they did not have the funds to finish up the girls' orphanage house because the covid pandemic had affected their building and operation budget. Upon hearing this, we sent Heart4Mexico $6,000, which played a major role in helping them finish the house! Now they are able to help more orphans by pulling them out of homelessness, sex trafficking, cartel networks, drug addictions, abusive homes, etc. Hearts4Mexico's mission is to pull them out of those environments, share the love of Christ, and create better opportunities for them that wasn't possible before. Thank you, Legacy, for your faithful giving which helped Hearts4Mexico finish the girls' orphanage house..

ESL is back in session. If you have any neighbors or friends that need additional assistance with the English language, please send them our way. Maria Brower and Bruce Crossman are leading this front and are the point of contact. Not only will this be a place to learn English, but it will be a place to learn about Christ Jesus. Please keep ESL in your prayers as we begin this September. For more information on ESL please look below in the ESL section.

Let’s also get our hearts and minds ready to minister this October as we prepare for our Trunk or Treat outreach led by Legacy Kid's. In order for this to be effective we will need all-hands-on-deck, which is why Missions is partnering with Legacy Kid's Ministry to make this an amazing event for our community. Don’t miss out on being a part of this.

I want to take this moment to add Afghanistan in our prayers. I know it is not part of our prayer initiatives, but it is a country that needs the Lord at this moment. Can we take some time to pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ in Afghanistan? The Lord has been working there and we have seen growth within the underground house church movement. Pray that the Lord will strengthen them and give them great endurance as they walk in these challenging times. Let's pray for more people to come to the saving knowledge of Christ even in this dark moment for this nation. Let's pray for protection of the innocent people and pray for testimonies that glorify the name of Jesus Christ in Afghanistan.

Blessings,
Patrick Iga

Celebrate the Wins

Thanks to your faithful giving, in addition to our monthly giving to our mission partners, we celebrate:
  • School Staff Appreciation - $136 for Sonic Route 44 drinks for Hughston and Wells Elementary
  • Bible and John 3:16 coins - we sent hundreds of John 3:16 Spanish prayer coins and Spanish Bibles to One Mission Ministries and gave Bibles in various languages, such as Russia, Farsi, Arabic, etc., to local churches from our ESL supplies

Thank you
A shout out to the Sonic location on Coit/Parker for partnering with us as we showed support to two elementary schools in our community, Hughston and Wells. We blessed 104 staff/teachers with their favorite Sonic Route 44 beverage!

Thank you from Theresa Weaver, Missionary in Albania
"I praise the Lord for your prayers for us as they have brought us through hard times. I’m rejoicing in the Lord for you and so appreciate your love for the Lord Jesus and for His people. Thanks so much for praying for me as well. Your prayers are VITAL and felt! I know the Lord is blessing you all because of them. Please know that I do pray for you almost every day.  Today my prayer is that the Lord would do this for you all!"
  • 1 Cor. 2:9 “ But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”
