Hello Colt Families,
We hope that you had an enjoyable Labor Day weekend. After the first two weeks, things are starting to come together and feel "normal" once again here at the middle school. We've had some time to work out the back-to-school jitters and kinks, so hopefully, everyone feels well adjusted.
The middle school welcomes all students and families to our Open House this Thursday, September 9th from 6:00 pm-7:45 pm. Come meet the teachers and take this opportunity to check out our beautiful school. There are no formal presentations, so feel free to come at the time that works best for you.
Please remember that students younger than high school age must be accompanied by an adult for the duration of all District events and athletic competitions. Students may not be dropped off without a parent/guardian. This includes Friday night football games.
On Tuesday, August 31, the Pennsylvania Department of Health issued an order requiring face coverings in all school entities. Chartiers Valley Schools will be upholding this state mandate for all staff and students grades K-12 and on all district transportation beginning Tuesday, September 7. Please let us know if you have any questions. We look forward to continuing our efforts to keep our students, staff, and community healthy during the 2021-2022 school year.
The District has received several requests to discontinue the daily Health Status Update emails. Out of respect for those who are finding these emails to be overwhelming, we will no longer send daily messages. We will, however, continue to update the case count tracker on the website, and we are working on adding a "Students and Staff in Quarantine" section. Visit the COVID-19 Updates page on the District website for more information and answers to some FAQs.
