We're thrilled to announce a special partnership between the University of Iowa and the Clinton community for the 2022-23 academic year.

Through the Iowa Initiative for Sustainable Communities (IISC), the UI’s foremost community engaged-learning program, more than 100 faculty and students will collaborate with local leaders and residents to complete 15-20 projects in Clinton during the academic year.

The social event will include an overview of the upcoming project collaborations and be and opportunity for UI faculty and students to talk with Clinton residents. We hope you can help us get the partnership off to a great start.

University of Iowa faculty and students will have a full day experiencing Clinton and meeting with local officials and residents.

UI teams come from departments across campus, including: Business, Law, Planning and Public Affairs, Visual Arts, Cinema Arts, Civil & Environmental Engineering, Library & Information Science, Geography, and more.

City of Clinton staff will provide a community tour, the teams will hear from local alumni living in and around Clinton, and we'll celebrate the completion of our first project of the partnership with a ribbon cutting ceremony for a new mural installation. The day's activities will conclude with the social event at the Candlelight Inn.
