The Home Visiting Central Intake Bulletin Central Intake e-newsletter for home visiting providers October 2021 Welcome back to another edition of the Home Visiting Central Intake Bulletin! This email will provide you with Help Me Grow Central Intake data and updates relevant to Home Visiting so you are informed and prepared to serve families. SFY21 Fourth Quarter Referral Data (April-June 2021)

Central Intake and Referral (CIR) processed 10,638 system referrals in the fourth quarter. A referral breakdown is below: Caregivers (6.8%). HEA8045 forms (9.7%) submitted by Home Visiting providers, as well as WIC offices, and other community agencies. Medical professionals (13.6%). Non-medical community (55.3%) including WIC, community agencies, county agencies, and electronic Pregnancy Risk Assessment Form (e-PRAF) referrals. Public Children Service Agency (PCSA) 8021 forms (14.6%) submitted by children’s services agencies. A total of 3,537 families accepted home visiting services during the fourth quarter. Of those, 63% were for pregnant women, and 45% of those women were first-time moms.

Outreach and Marketing

Statewide outreach included more than 2,580 activities in the fourth quarter.

Social media advertising for home visiting continued on Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube. Social media graphics and posters were developed and distributed to promote the OHBaby Kits, which are now given to families during their first home visit. If you would like OHBaby Kit posters, please contact your regional outreach specialist. Digital advertising for home visiting continued into the fourth quarter. As of June 30, the campaign generated more than 2.38 million impressions, 2,307 clicks, and 823 post-click conversions to the Home Visiting page on the helpmegrow.org website.

Central Intake and Referral and Pathways HUBs Partnership

CIR is excited to embark on a collaborative pilot with the Pathways HUBs to make sure all families are connected to the supports they need to be healthy and thrive. CIR will make referrals to the Pathways HUBs for families who meet the following criteria: Are not eligible for home visiting. Are not interested in home visiting but want support from another program. Are on a waitlist for home visiting. Families placed on a home visiting waitlist who choose to be referred to a Pathways HUB can receive home visiting services (when a slot becomes available) in addition to Pathways HUB services. The pilot project began Sept. 1 with the following HUBs: Community Health Access Project HUB. Dayton Regional Pathways HUB. Northwest Ohio Pathways HUB. Stark County Community Action Agency. HUBs joining the pilot on Oct. 1 include: Better Health Partnership. Access Tuscarawas: Bridges to Wellness. Community Action Akron Summit. Health Care Access Now. Healthcare Collaborative of Greater Columbus. More HUBs will be added to the pilot as more HUBs sign agreements to participate. The pilot will run through December 2021.   Questions? MIECHV Outreach and Marketing

Starting in the second quarter of SFY22, CIR will be implementing the following marketing and outreach efforts in counties funded through the federal Maternal, Infant, and Early Childhood Home Visiting (MIECHV) Program: CIR will work with Pixel Planet Studios to produce three profile videos featuring current home visiting participants who will share their experiences with the program. We will also produce at least two instructional videos walking audiences through the web referral process. With word-of-mouth being the most common way families find out about home visiting, CIR is coordinating a Refer-a-Friend giveaway to incentivize current and past home visiting participants to refer families they know to the program. Giveaway items will include Help Me Grow sling bags, collapsible water bottles, and hand sanitizers. CIR has purchased advertising in local newspapers, on Connected TV, and at local grocery stores and pharmacies. CIR will also launch social media advertising and digital display advertising campaigns targeting MIECHV counties. CIR will be in touch with MIECHV county home visiting providers in the near future to discuss collaboration opportunities with these efforts.
