Bourbon and Beyond returns to Louisville September 15-18 featuring performances from Pearl Jam, Alanis Morissette, Jack White, Chris Stapleton, Kings of Leon, The Doobie Brothers and Brandi Carlile. Louisville’s music festival exacta continues with Louder Than Life from September 22-25. The four days of rock music features world-renowned acts including Nine Inch Nails, Slipknot, Kiss, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Alice in Chains.

Head to Downtown New Albany for the annual New Albany Taco Walk on Saturday, September 17. Bring the whole family, a group of friends or make it a day date. Purchase your ticket package online, then trade your tickets for tacos at up to 15 participating locations. VIP ticket holders get early entry at noon. Tickets are limited, so get yours early.

Join the Falls of the Ohio Foundation on September 24 for Rock the Rocks! Rediscover the Falls of the Ohio as Ben Sollee and Jill Andrews play a one-of-a-kind concert on the 390-million-year-old fossil beds at the Falls of the Ohio State Park. Proceeds benefit the mission of the Falls of the Ohio Foundation.

The 10th Anniversary of the Rock on Water festival is September 10. Hosted by Joyous Noise, this free, single-night event helps share the Gospel through music. This year’s acts include Disciple, Carrollton, The Protest, Chaotic Resemblance, Hush Harbor, B. Wade and Joel Jackson. Food trucks will also be on site for this family friendly event.

Celebrate the beauty of the automobile while supporting the Howard Steamboat Museum! The 5th Annual Howard Steamboat Museum Car Show and Fund Raiser on September 10, features more than 60 classic cars. Attend the show for free and get discounted admission to explore the museum housed in a 22-room Richardsonian-Romanesque style mansion.

Southern Indiana’s newest live music venue, The Jefferson offers live music from national touring headliners and incredible views of the Ohio River and Louisville skyline. September shows include Colt Ford, Deana Carter, American Idol winner David Cook and comedian Shaun Latham.

Enjoy a walking tour while learning about strange and wicked happenings that occurred in downtown New Albany throughout the years.

Head to Downtown Jeffersonville for the Vintage Fire Museum’s Annual Muster on September 25! View a parade of modern and vintage firetrucks, participate in a firefighting skills competition, then watch as the engines display their water pumping abilities on the Ohio River. Event is free to attend, and you can enjoy half off admission to the museum.

Jeffersonville’s glow-up festival is back! Steamboat Nights at Big Four Park is scheduled for September 30 and October 1. Enjoy family fun, including a hot-air balloon glimmer, black light art, silent disco, live concerts, rides, games and more! There will also be local food trucks, a Bud Light beer garden and cocktails by Number Juan Tequila. This event is free and open to the public.
