Dear Resident,
As some of you may know, last year we finalized our “land swap” deal, where we exchanged our Town Hall building and adjacent property for 16 acres of vacant land located east of Old Cutler Road and north of SW 212 Street—commonly referred to as the “Potato Field.”
For years, residents have dreamed of a central gathering place like this one. The vision for this property, located in the geographical heart of our Town, is not only to transform it into a park and municipal complex, but for it to become the emotional heart of our community.
While we planned to begin the visioning process for this project last year, when the pandemic hit, we put this project on hold to focus on our community’s health and wellbeing. Nearly two years later, we're ready to pick this project back up, listen to your thoughts, suggestions and concerns to make sure this legacy project is one that all of you will be proud of and that truly represents our community.
