Juvenile Home Renamed to Youth Center

The Juvenile Home is now named the Calhoun County Youth Center and has adopted a new logo that depicts a phoenix. This change was approved by the Board of Commissioners at its meeting on Sept. 1 and is tied to a reimagining of how the facility represents itself, especially as a building remodel is being conceived. Wireless Emergency Test

Calhoun County 911, Emergency Management, and the FCC are cooperatively conducting a Wireless Emergency Alert (WEA) test at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 12, in the area shown on this map in the City of Marshall. All phones within this area will receive the test alert, if WEA settings are turned on.

Child Support Establishment Function Changes Offices

Beginning Oct. 1, 2022, The Friend of the Court will process all child support and paternity cases instead of the Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. All the employees who currently work to establish child support and paternity in the Prosecutor’s Office will continue their work as employees of the Friend of the Court.

Calhoun County Government is using CivicClerk as its agenda software for Board of Commissioners Meetings. Agendas, live streams and recordings of the meetings, and minutes are all published to this page. Agendas and minutes for past meetings are also archived in this software.
