Thinking About Building Improvements?

Here is a quick reminder if you are planning some renovations this Spring!

Did you know? A building permit is required for installing any new structure on your property, like fences, sheds, carports, detached garages, windows, doors, hot water heaters, concrete pads, patios, driveways, etc. as well as removing trees in most cases. Once a building permit application is submitted online, the Planning & Zoning Department reviews the permit for compliance with the Land Development Codes and the Building Department for compliance with the Florida Building Codes and regulations. If you have any questions, call (386) 688-2040 and press option 1 for the building department or option 6 for zoning.

Upcoming Road Closures

Road Closures may affect your commute!

Two road improvements are happening in DeBary!

Ft. Florida Road will be closed between the SunRail Station and Barwick between Monday, May 8, at 6 a.m. to Tuesday, May 16 to 6 a.m. See the map below for detour information.

Highbanks Road near the Winn-Dixie Plaza will be closed starting June 5, 2023. Follow us on Facebook for more information to be released once plans are finalized.
