1: From the Interim Principal

Greetings SLP Families,

CONGRATULATIONS! They did it! The Class of 2021 graduated Tuesday on a very warm evening in our beautiful stadium. Special thanks to graduates, Cailee Byrd, who delivered the welcome message, Grace Kanyinku, who served as the emcee, and Ben Cantor, Helen Tefera, Michael Boxley-Harmon, Julia Salita, and Sadie Yarosh, who delivered impactful speeches.
In order to truly appreciate this beautiful ceremony, I wish to make a huge shout out of support and gratitude to our SLP grounds crew! They worked through unprecedented heat to prepare for commencement and ensure cold water, ice and towels were available for our graduates to cool them if needed, and clean it all up. Thank you for a job well done!

Lastly, this will be my last 6425. I have truly enjoyed the privilege of serving as the interim principal at SLP throughout this unprecedented year! I have met many kind, caring and capable students, staff and families in this wonderful community and I am truly going to miss all of you. I will always cherish this experience, and I will forever hold a special place in my heart for SLP!

Kindly,

Wendy Loberg
Interim Principal
2: Device Return
Please do remind kids that all unreturned computers and hotspots will be disabled at the end of the week and will no longer work, so there's no sense in them trying to hang on to them. Summer school students will get a new one issued to them for summer school. Also know that there is no penalty for returning a chromebook that is broken or missing a case or cord.

About S&C:
Strength and Conditioning is a year-round program designed to support Oriole athletes both in and off-season. This program is a complement to an athlete’s sport skill training and specifically targets growth in the areas of strength, speed, agility, mobility and injury prevention. The program is carefully coached to keep all athletes safe while they work toward achieving their athletic goals.
This researched based approach will prepare athletes for sport in the safest way possible while under the supervision of coaches and in consultation with athletic training staff. Workloads will be carefully monitored and progressed appropriately for all athletes.
