So the big news is, Fresno Music Academy & Arts is EXPANDING! Yes, that's right, in April we will be opening our second location. I’m not saying where quite yet... Just know that we are VERY excited about this new location and what all this means for us and for all of our students.
We can't wait to bring love and music to another area of this incredible town. What could be better than that!! Be looking for posts and emails here in the near future as we begin to do the “reveal”. There are going to be things that we need and as we get closer, I will put that info “out there”. Things like small pianos that are in good shape as an example.
What could be better than serving another part of our community through arts education, specifically music, in our case!

A Word From Our Founder:
Can you believe it? We are already through the first month of 2022. It is amazing to me how fast life passes us by.
Many of you know that I took a little teaching “vacation”. I have had a very productive “month off” from at Fresno Music Academy & Arts. I have been working diligently to get caught up on sooooo many projects. I have cleaned out closets and file cabinets. I have taken piles of stuff to the thrift store. I have made my year-long, month-long, and daily “to-do” lists. Lots of good stuff.

Art Hop
Come in and look at the Doris Gallery this month, you'll see some fantastic works of art!
Josephine Gildersleeve's 2017 Terrain Series consists of mixed media pieces on paper 60 x 60 inches square. In these artworks, the act of painting is used to process internal thoughts and memories of places. She says, "they are memories of terrains and places I have visited that have emotional value, and have become abstracted though faulty recollection, which is emblematic of fractures in relationships."
The work is psychodynamic in that it examines relationships and values of the past, present, and future through a symbolic language which is grounded in the artist's lexicon of experience.
The work will be installed through February 28.

The Rogue Festival
Rogue Festival champions the gritty, got-something-to-say outlook of the independent performer and Fresno’s Tower District. Presented in a fringe festival-style format, the Festival includes theatre, dance, spoken word, music, performance art, puppetry, and more for fearless Central Valley audiences over 10 days.
