Keep Up the mOMmentum

Sign up TODAY to testify virtually or send testimony to the Howard County Council for the Hearing on October 18, 2021

Hello residents and friends of Oakland Mills,

Don't delay; sign up today! October 18th is the next milestone in our effort to ensure Oakland Mills Middle and Oakland Mills High get their much-deserved and needed renovations. The County Council will hear the school system's proposed Capital Budget and Capital Improvement Program.

Please sign up now to testify in-person or virtually at https://apps.howardcountymd.gov/otestimony/ and select  CR154-2021 as the item you will be speaking about. If you are unable to speak live that evening, please e-mail your testimony to councilmail@howardcountymd.gov.

Please support the Capital Budget and Capital Improvement Plan as submitted. It moves renovations to OMMS up to 2024 and adds renovations to OMHS to begin in 2026. This is a major improvement over recent plans and a realistic timeline to enable the school system to plan these two projects and secure funding with county and state support.

Your testimony can be as simple and short as, "I support the Capital Improvement Program's inclusion of much-needed and overdue renovations to Oakland Mills Middle and Oakland Mills High." If you need additional talking points or information, please don't hesitate to contact me directly at jledelson.omca@gmail.com or see OMCA's testimony attached below.
