MESSAGE FROM MAYOR KLING

Welcome Home.png

This morning Nampa Police Officer Nathan Rau returned to Idaho after being deployed with the United States Coast Guard for over a year. He has been serving in the military for 19 years and has been a police officer with NPD since 2018. Officer Rau continues to serve his country and community. We join his wife, Charlotte, and family in welcoming him safely home!

CHECK OUT NAMPA'S STORYWALK® TRAIL HONORING U.S. PRESIDENTS

Story Trail Map.jpg

Presidents Day, a federal holiday established in 1885, is celebrated on the third Monday in February each year. From the foundation of this nation, we have had some amazing leaders. Beginning with Washington and our second president, John Adams, many of our founding fathers have laid the foundation of this country.

Washington, more than once, was willing to go into battle and stand for the freedoms we enjoy today. Washington strived to be a humble and honest man, as noticed in the following quote. He said, “I hope I shall possess firmness and virtue enough to maintain what I consider the most enviable of all titles, the character of an ‘Honest Man.’ Your honesty influences others to be honest.”

We invite you to join us this month in honoring Presidents of the United States of America by visiting the StoryWalk® Trail in Lakeview Park in Nampa which includes a variety of presidential quotes.
