eclipseMore Than Martin Luther
A Class on the Protestant Reformation
The Protestant Reformation was not a single historical event but a movement sparked before Martin Luther and continuing well after him. It also had more than theological implications; it was formed within the contexts of the politics, economics, and culture of the day. Likewise, the Reformation had a profound impact on the wider society.

Join David Nelson as he helps us take a closer look at the persons who had a starring role in the greatest theological movement in Christianity. We'll get to some more of the characters in this story--quirks and all.

Making Progress toward Our 2018 Goal
The 2018 Annual Appeal for Fourth Church and Chicago Lights celebrates the ways in which this faith community is committed to actively participating in God's re-creating and reconciling work in this world.

We launched the 2018 Appeal on September 24, and thanks to the generosity of many, we are already 45 percent of the way to our goal! To date we have received $1.6 million in commitments toward our $3.6 million goal for Fourth Church and $335,000 in commitments toward our $700,000 goal for Chicago Lights.

If you have not yet submitted your pledge to "Called to Be a Church Alive," please do so by Commitment Sunday, October 29. Pledges can be submitted online or by using the cards mailed to homes and also available in the pew racks. Together let us shine the light of a church alive!
