Public Hearing Today
One of the biggest challenges employers are facing is attracting employees and this is mostly due to lack of housing in Penticton. If you are an employer facing this challenge your support is needed. 

A Public Hearing has been scheduled for 6:00 pm, Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Penticton Trade and Convention Centre, 273 Power St., Penticton, B.C for a proposed development at 955 Timms Street. BC Government Consultation on Paid Sick Leave
The BC Government is considering an employer-paid permanent sick leave program. This will add further burden to all businesses. Voice your opinion by sending a letter to the Minister of Labour requesting consultation before final decisions are made on paid sick leave. SAMPLE LETTER .   We also encouraging everyone to participate in the paid sick leave consultation survey issued by the Ministry of Labour, noting its deadline of October 25, 2021 at 4:00pm.
