The Kansas Service & Civic Engagement was held on November 10, giving civically-minded students the opportunity to discuss and learn from each other's campus service learning and civic engagement initiatives.
The conference's goal was to provide students with insight into how their fellow students in the Kansas area are making a difference in their communities, as well as to enable them to network with other students and faculty on methods to effect change.
There were 8 student presentations by 12 presenters, including 8 KU students. Thanks to Sanah Shabbir (Applied Behavioral Science), Lina Garces Davila (Educational Psychology), Nafiza Akbar (Public Health), Max Lillich (Political Science), Murtaza Shoaib (Psychology), Faran Zufer (Behavioral Neuroscience), Ayah Wakkad (English Literature)
and Matt Kleinmann (Architecture) for presenting at the conference.
