Elementary Music Inspires TUSD Students

This week, we had the opportunity to see our elementary music program in action. Coordinator Vici Cope and our elementary music team including Amy Augustine, Wei Fang, Jamie Garrett, Davina Leung, Richard Lueras, Sue MartinSarah Sebourn and Tim Thomas, offer students more than just a weekly music lesson. Our credentialed music teachers give students in grades 3-5 the chance to express their emotions and ideas, experience the world around them, and share their vision with others through the artistry and exploration of singing, instrument playing, and movement. Students in our program learn to listen with a purpose and perform with a passion while participating in fun, engaging music lessons that incorporate learning from all academic disciplines. As Ms. Cope notes, "We hope that our programs inspire students to continue to seek out musical and artistic opportunities through the rest of their years in Tustin and beyond."
