WHAT'S HAPPENING

Here’s what’s coming up in our ministry . . .

SEPT 7: FIRST MIDWEEK

We're starting student MidWeek a week early so they can get a full month in of the first series and give students free reign before all other adult discipleship classes begin. We'll start at 6:30pm in the Crossing. We'll provide dinner this time, but the following week, Sept 14, begins our Wednesday evening meals

SEPT 11: MOVE UP DAY

Our newest students who have just graduated into the student program officially begin Sunday AM with us!

SEPT 11: RIVER BAPTISM, PICNIC AND BABS INFO TABLE

This month, we're creating an opportunity for our BABS leaders to connect with the parents of their kids so we can better love, lead, and influence students together. Don't miss it! Check out the main church website for details on the river baptism and picnic!

SEPT 25: FAMILY CHATS

We realize it's difficult to keep up with the whole family's schedule as the year speeds into the Fall like a car straight out of the Fast & Furious movies. That's why we want to offer 30 minutes for parents/guardians to come visit with Pastor Chris and chat about how we can be a supportive resource for you. Our goal is to have 2 more of these throughout the year to celebrate your wins and help with your struggles. It's also a great time to plan where to go for lunch with other families right after!

NOVEMBER 11-13: FALL RETREAT

Yes, it may seem like it's really far away, but... is it, really? Registration for Fall Retreat is up and running. See the details and register here.

SUNDAY AM NEWS

We are excited to build upon the great success and interest we've seen in our Deep Dive class on Sunday mornings. The high schoolers have been learning about robust biblically-based concepts in this class and this year, starting on September 11, we will offer two new discipleship opportunities for students to attend.

9:30 - Sunday AM is back! - This will mirror the Deep Dive classes happening during the 11:00 hour.

11:00 - Middle School Deep Dive Class - This will be a class where Middle Schoolers will go deeper into studying scripture. They will begin by exploring the Creation narratives in Genesis.

MIDWEEK SERIES

REAL: A 4-WEEK SERIES FROM THE OLD & NEW TESTAMENTS ON FRIENDSHIP

SERIES OVERVIEW:

It’s easy to spot a fake friend (and even easier to be a fake friend at times), but what’s not-so-easy is figuring out how to make and keep friendships that are real. Maybe it's just easier to keep our friendships on the surface. Or maybe we’ve never seen real friendship in real life before. Or maybe we don’t actually know anyone we trust enough to be real with. These days, when “friends” are just a click or a follow away, it’s more important than ever to figure out what true friendship really looks like. In this 4-week series, we’ll explore the words and stories of Jesus, the disciples, Paul, Timothy, David, and Jeremiah to help us understand what authentic friendship can look like. Together, we’ll discover that real friends choose each other wisely, show each other grace, comfort each other, and help each other grow.

RESOURCE OF THE MONTH

Teenagers are unique humans with their own experiences, perspectives, and stresses. While there are some universal truths about what teenagers need to feel loved and to thrive - THIS VIDEO serves as a good reminder that no two teenagers think exactly the same. You are doing an amazing job getting to know the teenager you are raising and loving them for who they are.
