“Milton Night Out” Proceeds Benefit Casa San Francisco
On August 3rd, Casa San Francisco participated in Milton Night Out, an event at Milton Memorial Park sponsored by the town's police department. The event was populated with booths representing law enforcement, mental health services and nonprofit organizations who provided many community members with helpful information.
Our Casa San Francisco booth was represented by Gary Belkot, Casa Program Manager, Vicky Moncrief, Case Manager, and Brian DiCarlo, Shelter Staff Member. The beautiful summer evening provided a wonderful opportunity to meet and educate our local community about how Casa San Francisco can help.
Casa San Francisco provides a wide range of services aimed at helping low-income residents of Sussex County, including Emergency Shelter, Emergency Food Pantry and a Food Cooperative.
If you are interested in volunteering at Casa San Francisco, contact Gary Belkot at gbelkot@ccwilm.org or call 302-684-8694.

Tips to Ensure Your
Children Stay Healthy
Back to School - Fall 2022
As our children head back to school, healthy procedures continue to be implemented. Familiarize yourself with how your child's school will handle daily routines and provide personal distancing. To curb the spread of germs, remind your child to wash their hands frequently throughout the day, resist touching their faces, and limit sharing their food or drinks.
Additional Items for the Backpack
- A clean, comfortable face mask (if desired)
- Personal hand sanitizer and bottle of water
Ways to Support Your Children
1. Get your children vaccinated to reduce the chance of catching or spreading COVID and to minimize the symptoms if they do. Click here to for the most updated COVID facts from the CDC.
2. Try to keep up with regular routines. If classes are being online, create a schedule for learning activities and incorporate relaxing and fun activities away from the computer. Allocate time with your family. Take a walk, ride a bike, read together, exercise, and play board games.
3. Be a role model. Take breaks, get plenty of sleep, exercise, and eat well. Connect with your friends and family members.
4. Get free rapid COVID tests to have on hand in the event you or your child has symptoms.
