Dear Inverness Residents,
Krissy VIox Appointed as Village Clerk
With the appointment of Laurie White as Village Trustee earlier this year, a vacancy was created for the Village Clerk position. At the October 11th Village Board meeting, with the concurrence of the Board of Trustees, I appointed Krissy Viox Village Clerk.
Two New Officers Welcomed to the Village
Recently, I have had the opportunity to swear in our two newest Inverness Police Officers.
Detective JulieAnn Ferraro began serving the Inverness Police Department in June 2022 after 26 years with the Palatine Police Department. JulieAnn brings extensive juvenile and patrol experience to the Village. She served as Coordinator of Peer Jury for 15 years, School Resource Officer, and as an Elderly Service Officer. JulieAnn earned employee of the year three times while at Palatine and is currently the Treasurer of the Northern Illinois Juvenile Officers Association. She will continue to volunteer her time for Illinois Special Olympics Law Enforcement Torch Run activities while at Inverness.
Officer Dave Bloomfield retired from the Palatine Police Department in September of 2019, where he served for 23 years and another three years at Fremd High School as a Student Supervisor. Dave spent the majority of his career in the Patrol Division. During his tenure, he served in the following capacities: as a Juvenile Officer, a School Resource Officer at Fremd High School, and a Less Lethal Operator. He was also assigned to the Major Crimes Assistance Teams (MCAT) Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Unit for several years, where he ultimately retired as the unit’s Commander.
If You See Something, Say Something
Last month, the Inverness Police Department provided a
Community Alert about an increase in attempted and successful house burglaries, both ruse type and forced entry. Community awareness is a critical component to preventing these types of crimes and protecting potential victims.
The Village of Inverness encourages residents to report any suspicious persons or any unusual activity by calling 9-1-1 immediately.
9-1-1 IS NOT ONLY FOR EMERGENCIES IT IS FOR ANY POLICE RESPONSE
Sincerely,
Jack Tatooles
Mayor
