Did You Know?
Roe v. Wade was a landmark legal decision issued on January 22, 1973.The U.S. Supreme Court struck down a Texas statute banning abortion, therefore legalizing the procedure across the United States. The court held that a woman’s right to an abortion was a right to privacy protected by the 14th Amendment to the Constitution. Recently, the Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade on June 24, 2022, holding that there was no longer a federal constitutional right to an abortion. You can learn more about the history of Roe v. Wade here.

Roshy Agah
Roshy is a professional civil engineer with a Master of Science in Civil and Environmental Engineering and 25 years of experience in environmental engineering and consulting. She currently works as a senior project engineer at an environmental engineering consulting firm in the Bay Area. She is especially interested in women’s and children’s causes. Roshanak is married to her college sweetheart and they have a daughter together.

IAW Foundation's Los Angeles Rising Leaders Chapter invites you to be a part of a fun summer event! Join us on a group hike at Los Liones on Sunday, July 17 at 8:00 AM. The hike will be followed by a wind down at a local spot, Edo Bites at the Pacific Palisades Village. RSVP and information below!

- Hike will finish at 10:30 AM, followed by wind down at a local spot, Pacific Palisades Village "Edo Bites"
