SENIOR SHOWCASE AUDITIONS
Senior showcase is an annual opportunity for seniors to share their talents with family, friends, and classmates. Parents, friends, and community members can attend the event and watch both live performances and recorded videos of students sharing these talents. If your senior has a special talent (music, dance, art, sport, etc.), please ask them to consider sharing with their class at showcase. Be creative and think outside of the box. If your student has a unique talent that they want to share but don’t know if it would be possible, please email Ruby Mathis at s-mathisr@bsd405.org. Auditions open Monday, January 17th and close Friday, February 4th at 11:59 pm. All auditions must be limited to 3 minutes in length. If your student wants to submit works of art to be displayed in a gallery walk, please have them submit photos of each piece instead of a video. Senior showcase will be Thursday, March 3rd; stay tuned for more information to come about the event itself.

Happy 2022! The Lunar New Year or Spring Festival is just around the corner; it falls on Feb. 1st, 2022. Our PTSA will host our "1st" year of Tiger Staff Appreciation Luncheon on WednesdayFebruary 9th. Though our teachers and staff really miss the variety of home-made foods from the community, with this ongoing pandemic, unfortunately, we're not yet comfortable to do that . Thus, please continue to show your support and love by donating $$ for this luncheon. And our committee will order food for our teachers and staff from the restaurant. "We all come to the theatre with baggage. The baggage of our daily lives, the baggage of our problems, the baggage of our tragedies, the baggage of being tired. It doesn't matter what age you are. But if our hearts get opened and released -- well that is what theatre can do, and does sometimes, and everyone is thankful when that happens."- Vanessa Redgrave

THURSDAY, JUNE 16, 2022 (Night of Graduation)
8:00PM (June 16) – 5:30AM (June 17)
WHAT IS THE ALL-NIGHT GRAD PARTY?

A tradition at Bellevue High School (and many high schools in the West), the 2022 All-Night Grad Party — a senior year highlight — is held on the evening of graduation and provides the Seniors with an opportunity for a safe, drug and alcohol-free FUN celebration with non-stop entertainment all night long.
It is one of the last opportunities to be together as a class.
The 2022 All-Night Grad Party begins with organized bus transportation from school, that takes the graduates to surprise destinations with incredible entertainment, food and music, and returns them to the school early the following morning.
Students who have attended past All-Night Grad Parties say, “You do not want to miss this!”
The 2022 All-Night Grad Party is funded through ticket sales and monies that the Class of 2022 Parent Booster Committee has been raising since freshman year.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?

$139.00 Early Bird discounted tickets until Feb 18th!
$179.00 after Feb 18th
This includes an all-inclusive night: transportation to multiple fun-filled, activity-packed SECRET venues, entertainment, activities, games, prizes, dinner, breakfast, and FUN, FUN, FUN all night long!
Most importantly, this is a safe and supervised event with NO alcohol or drugs.

YMCA Environmental Symposium
The Symposium gathers passionate, motivated student leaders together at the University of Washington to learn about the environmental issues facing our world and how to create a sustainable future for our schools, communities and beyond! Participants will take part in hands-on workshops led by local organizations and designed to educate students about environmental topics as well as give teens the skills they need to address environmental issues in their schools and communities. Youth will be networking with peers and adults and gaining tools to create real, positive change. Lunch will be provided with vegetarian options available. There will also be a free raffle of outdoor and environmental prizes for all in attendance.

Supporting Youth Participation
The Symposium is a one of a kind event and YESC is dedicated to ensuring that youth have the opportunity to attend. To support students and teachers we are offering Substitute Teacher Reimbursements and a Letter of Support.

In order to support teachers that would like to bring youth to this event, we are offering Teacher Substitute Reimbursements to those teachers that bring five or more students. Teachers or staff are eligible even if they are not officially affiliated with the YMCA Earth Service Corps. There are limited spaces, so we encourage teachers to contact us quickly to ensure they reserve a reimbursement. Finally, we are able to provide a Letter of Support that details the academic benefits of this event to help students receive an excused absence.
