Point to Point Air has Expanded!
By Jeanne Howe, Point to Point Air
In April, Point to Point Air moved into a larger hangar here at Arlington Airport. We are in the building just south of Airlift NW. Many pilots, staff, and friends pitched in to make it all happen - it took a village and has been a long process to get things in order. With still more to get organized, we squeeze it in around all the summertime flights that have begun. Our space includes a pilot lounge/conference room for training, offices, a kitchen area, and best of all, space to hangar our aircraft.
We look forward to sunshine and many flights around the PNW. Stop by to check us out at 17605 50th Drive NE., Hangar C, where there is always candy in the candy jar.
We are in negotiations with Horizon Air for our 135 pilots to flow into their training program once they have the required flight hours. We have already moved many aviators through that pipeline and hope to have many more on this track.
Cascade Aviation from Skagit Regional Airport is in the works to join us! They will have satellite operations here as well, offering flight training lessons in their own aircraft. A Grumman Lynx and a Cessna 172 are slated to be used.
Now for the latest news — welcome Right Rudder, Inc., our new aircraft maintenance and repair shop. We are now open and doing work on your planes. We have 2 IAs and 2 A&Ps to get you in and out so that you don’t lose any of the prime flying season. Located next door to Point to Point Air, Right Rudder is in Hangar D. They are so new that they don’t even have a phone yet. So, if you are looking for their service, feel free to contact Laith Barnhill on his cell, 907-401-1745, or call P2P at 425-530-5518. I will get them in touch with you!
We have had a flurry of activity here lately, including Dickies clothing line doing their Fall photo shoot here and hosting a luncheon with tours for GIFT girls (Girls in Flight Training) while they were in Arlington for a week.
For us, this has been a busy spring, and we look forward to an even busier summer. Fly safely, and see you out there!
