We need your input!
We've begun an intentional process to develop a plan to guide Immanuel over the next 3 - 5 years, and we invite your input at one of two Focus Groups:
1) In-person session: Sunday, October 10, 12 - 1 p.m. (Light lunch provided)
2) Virtual session: Tuesday, October 19, 7 - 8 p.m. (Zoom info coming)

RECITAL
Friday, October 15, 7 p.m.
Holly Janz, mezzo-soprano, and Michael Keller, piano, collaborate in a program that features Edvard Grieg’s masterpiece Haugtussa Op. 67, based on Arne Garborg’s epic poem cycle. It details the trials of shepherdess, Veslemøy, and her struggle between this world and that of the spirits.
Also presented is a rarely-heard song set from Spanish composer María Rodrigo, as well as songs from Irving Berlin and William Bolcom.

OCTOBER BOOK DISCUSSION
Dear White Peacemakers, by Osheta Moore, is a breakup letter to division and a love letter to God’s beloved community. Drawing on the Sermon on the Mount, Spirituals, and personal stories from author, Osheta Moore’s work as a pastor in St. Paul, you are invited to enter into this story of shalom and join in the urgent work of peacemaking.

Support our partner Redeemer Lutheran as they help with a food shelf in their neighborhood. Donations of diapers, baby wipes and sanitary pads are needed - these items are in high demand for families accessing food shelves.

The Lutheran Social Service Refugee Resettlement Team is working hard to meet Afghan refugee families’ basic needs when they arrive in Minnesota. The biggest need currently is financial support.
